Summary: There isn't much competition in the Android media player marketplace. The Samsung Galaxy Player's only real competition is the Apple iPod Touch, which is much more expensive, has no memory expansion, and requires iTunes. The iPod does, however, had many more apps that tend to have a premium feel to them, while Android apps tend to lack visual flair. This can be a good or bad thing; it is a personal opinion.
Summary: I've used an Apple iPod Touch 32GB 3G version for two plus years. There are things about Apple software that bothered me, in fact those things kept me from even looking at other Apple products. Some things are simple and desirable but Apple has this way of saying to their customer base, "We know what is better for you." All I wanted to do on the iPod was put the date in the top bar where the time is shown. Sorry Apple doesn't allow it.
