Nice sound, but.....

Overstock

  • Summary: This Samsung unit looks nice, has good sound quality and was a good price, BUT, there is a major problem. It is all but impossible to get music into it, except in alphabetical order. No matter what I do, the tunes are rearranged. They won't even remain in folders, but go into a random jumble. Sometimes I can trick it by putting a leading number into the song name, but even that doesn't always work. Sure makes listening to a Bdwy. show interesting with no sequence.

bought for use as white noise generator

Overstock
26 May 2007
  • Summary: Although reconditioned the mp3 player was indistinguishable from new. I bought the player to use as a "white noise" generator, to relieve teninitis (sp?) symptoms -- by simply playing a looped "white noise" WAV file. I did play a few music mp3's and the sound quality was very good This player is specifically advertised as being able to play WAV files as well as mp3 's, which is one reason I bought it. The battery life is about 12 hours after a charge-up, not fantastic.

good product for first digital player

Overstock
22 May 2007
  • Summary: My children, 9 years & 13 years old, both have this player from Samsung. It is small enough that it can be dropped and the headphone cord support the weight so it doesn't hit the floor. Being dropped is pretty common with a 9 year old. Both of them easily learned how to use the function buttons, even though I don't think it is as easy as an ipod. We did have difficulty transfering music files to the player, since we had two players just alike.

Small size plus great features

Overstock
21 May 2007
  • Summary: With its size and built-in USB connection this is a very convenient product. The sound quality is great and the features are highly customizable to how you want to use it. It works great with Windows XP, but does not appear to function with Windows NT. There is an FM tuner but unfortunately no AM tuner. The battery life is so long, I don't really know how long it will go without charging. The LED light is a little annoying, but can easily be turned off in the settings.

It's great

  • Summary: I've had this mp3 player for over a month or so and it's great. The audio quality could be better but it's perfect for those who work out because it's tiny. I've had IPODS in the past and I've always said that it was always too big for working out, and that includes the nano.
