Summary: I've had the go gear 8gb since it first came out. Back when it still cost around $150 or so. Its been thru sheer hell. Including laying on the ground in cold wet weather for a week. Tossed in a drawer for a year with no charge. The more nastier situations I want mention.
Summary: This device is the ultimate garbage. If you download the device/firmware manager, it does not recognize any of the Philips Gogear mp3 players connected to the computer. If you download the Philips Songbird, it will take an hour to start working, and then it will mount every drive on your computer to...
Summary: At first I was leery about buying this product because it was not one of the major brands selling these players but i decided to take a chance. Glad I did, as this works for me. compact, holds enough music, sounds great and the price was well worth it.
Summary: This thing screams. The aluminum casing is perfect for anyone using this anywhere outside of their couch...I've taken it hiking, fishing, on the beach, etc...2 years later and the unit still performs flawlessly. The battery is incredible.
Summary: the song bird software appears to be simple to use at first glance, but than after it refuses to import music and imports it and than it wont play it....well lets just say you can spend all day trying to add a song to this device and maybe you'll get lucky and maybe it wont work.
Amazing little device - its gone through hell and back and still works perfectly!

Summary: So I've now had this device well over a year and it works perfectly. Now, what's the big deal with that. Well, after about a month of having it, my 2 year old decided to pick it up and put it in his pocket. I couldn't find it and basically gave up and so did my wife.
