Fantastic product until it broke after such a short time

  • Excerpt: The Philips GoGear HDD6320 is undoubtedly one of the more stylish MP3 players on the market. The blue LED lights on the front display and the bright colour presentation on the screen ensure that this product stands out from the crowd. The playback through the provided earphones is very clear, and the earphones are far more durarle and hard wearing than the classic Ipod earphones that I have previously used.

Great player for those that do not need a radio

  • Excerpt: Upon first glance, the Philips HDD 6320 lead anyone to assume that it was an Ipod. It has a 55 millimetre screen which is quite large, it is a transflective backlit colour display TFT display screen. This supports photos, but not videos. The quality of the screen is quite good, but it could be better and higher quality, in spite of that its perfect for viewing photos.

Good if you'll be sticking to music.

  • Excerpt: This mp3 player has fallen between two stools a bit, which is unfortunate since judged solely as an mp3 player, it's definitely a great product: it looks very smart, and has touch-sensitive controls; the 30GB capacity is more than enough for most people's music collection; it's got it has a colour screen so you can look at your photos; and of course you can play music.

Highly recommended for those who don't want an iPod

  • Excerpt: At last - a non-iPod, large memory, reliable mp3 player, with the necessary features required by any music fan. The GoGear HDD6320 is an outstanding device, unlike any I have ever experienced. The touch sensitive key pad makes it very easy to scroll from song to song, the multi-preset sound settings allow for a personal sound, not least enhanced by the option of a graphic equaliser or the exclusive SRS WOW effect, found as an enhancement in Windows Media Player.
  • Pros: Reliability

  • Excerpt: This is a great MP3 player. lets not joke around here pound for pound against an ipod this is 100% better value for money. I have to be honest and say I will not go into real detail on features here other reviews might be a little more helpful there. What I will say is that this item is simple straightforward to use and has a groovy touch sensitive face and some nice sound enhancment options.
  • Pros: Lightwieght, great Battery life, quality sound, supersize music and picture storage
  • Cons: easily scratched, no reset button

Philips HDD1635

  • Excerpt: I have a Philips HDD1635, it is a total peice of SHIT! I will NEVER buy another product from them. Plays for sure........that is why I bought it, I thought I could easily download all my music from media player to it. How wrong was I? Error messages that solutions could not be found, calling their help desk was a joke. I have finished a pc repair course and am very computer savvy. This product plain and simple does NOT work as they claim. It is total garbage!!!
  • Pros: small, holds a ton of music
  • Cons: just does not work as advertised

  • Excerpt: It is going to tricky to try and write a review of this product without referencing the i-Pod which, let's be honest, all other MP3 players are going to be judged. So let's get it over with - this effort from Philips bears no comparison to the Apple i-Pod whatsoever. Most people will find themselves looking at this player as an alternative but to honest this is not worth bothering with.
  • Pros: looks nice
  • Cons: just doesn't work

Philips GoGear Jukebox HDD6320 30GB

chris_ray, Ciao
14 October 2007
  • Excerpt: I bought this 30GB mp3 player from ebay, not having high expectations for the product. I did some research and got a good price for it. The sound quality is good for any avid music listener. It has variable rates of quality for the mp3 (with variable bit rate and fixed bit rate avaliable from 64 - 320 kbps). It has different sound modes including Rock, jazz, pop etc.
  • Pros: Fast load up, excellent battery life, good sound quality .
  • Cons: Fingerprints show on touch pad, can crash, XP only, basic manual .

Not quite what i'd expected of Phillips.

  • Excerpt: To put this into perspective: I have had this HDD MP3 player almost 18 months now. So i'm going to have had a lot of experience of both the highs and the lows of it, and unfortunately there are more lows than highs. To start with - the main reason MP3 players exist - portability. The HDD is quite small, about the same size as the original iPods, but slightly lighter.
  • Pros: incredible sound quality, high volume, adjustable EQ, and sexy looks
  • Cons: Poor interface, Touchscreen does not function correctly, poor PC coordination and poor support
