  • Conclusion: The MusicGremlin MG-1000 is a worthy concept and a good first attempt at a Wi-Fi-enabled MP3 player, but it doesn't quite live up to expectations. For now, it's strictly for early adopters.
  • Pros: Connects to Internet via Wi-Fi. Connects directly to other players without a network or PC. Very good community features.
  • Cons: Player lacks basics such as repeat and equalizer/tone controls. Battery life is short. Transfers from PC are slow. Device looks more like a mockup than a finished product. FM radio is weak and doesn't support presets.
