Summary: This is a great MP3 player and works very good. There are other capabilities like video, photos, eBook, radio etc. The manual that comes with the unit is very small, but there is a downloadable and printable version stored in the player or available online at Mach Speed web site. I especially like the ability to plug into a mini connector to play over your car stereo. The screen is easy to read and the player feels very well made.
Paying $30 for this thing is paying $100 too much.

Summary: I can only assume that the people who made this so-called "MP3 Player" actually intended it to be some sort of baffling puzzle. Your first clue that this is indeed a puzzle and not an MP3 player is that the earbuds are just terrible. Just absolutely bottom-of-the-barrel, cheapest pieces of crap you've ever stuck in your ears. "Why would an MP3 player clearly not want you to be able to hear the music?" you'll ask yourself.
Quality problems. Pay a little more for something better.

Summary: I've never written a negative review at Amazon.com before and I've been buying from them for more than a decade (FTR, I did not purchase this MP3/MP4 player from Amazon.com). I purchased the Trio as a gift for my first grader son. The battery would not hold a full charge and dies within an hour to 90 minutes. The manufacturers customer support is basically non-existent.
Summary: I purchased 3 of this item for 3 of my Grandchildren for Christmas. Usually I am happy with my purchases through Amazon but not this time. What a disapointment; two of the Mach speed trio 4gb mp3 and video players are dead after less than a month of usage. I had expected a great deal longer of useful life of this product. I would like a complete refund and do not recommend this item nor would I purchase it again.
Summary: As many of the other reviewers have noted, many pros and some cons and I fully agree with all of them. But I notice something no one else might have mentioned- the touch screen! The screen used is not a capacitive touch screen, unlike many of the other more expensive, mainstream devices like my old Creative Labs and Zune and thus, anything touching the screen, be it the edge of a piece of paper, the inside of my pocket lining, etc.
Summary: This product was a replacement for the Sansa Fuze that was stolen. Thinking that it would be nice to have the bigger touchscreen, I was VERY disappointed in this product. Once you have downloaded your music, you have to scroll through all of it to find a song that you want. If you are lucky to find the folders, you can go through a pick out your song, but if you just want to start up and listen, you listen to the same song each time that you turn it on.
Summary: This MP3 was so disappointing and the worse purchase I have ever made. The item is so cheap that it light like a toy. It wouldn't download or power on or off. I was totally disgusted with this product. I would never buy any eclipse product ever again. When I had problems with the product I called - busy signal and then I tried to get on their website and it came out as a "bad url".
so far...I like it !... Updated review: Dec. 2013 -I'm nervous!

Summary: After a LOT of research and reading many reviews, finally decided to go for the Mach Speed Trio T4300HD,8GB MP3 player(for the same price,I could have gotten another brand with 16GB) but since I mainly need it to connect it to my stereo system,I went for the 4.3" touch screen size;the other one had a 2.5" screen and I know I would have had a problem moving files because of the text size.
