DO NOT BUY
16 August 2012
Summary: Do not buy this product! We've had ours less than 2 years and the battery puffed up and opened the casing making it useless. There is only a one year warrantee and the manufacturer has discontinued this product and will do nothing to fix the problem.
Very difficult to use. Much better choices for less money.

Summary: I just pruchased the Trio T 2800 and am very disapointed. My prevoius MP3 player was old technolgy (Sansa e250), but it was much better than newer devices. The Sansa e250 is easy to use, durable and has a very long battery life. I don't know how long you can go on a charge, because I never ran it down. This Trio T2800 feels flimsy. Other users have reported the display/control interface fractured easily. I believe it!
Summary: I am now on my second model of this brand of player. It's great to use, but by no means is it durable. My first one lasted roughly a month before the play/pause button broke, and the second one had the same problem a few days ago after a little over six months of use. Shame, because when it's working, this really is a fine player. The video is fine. AVI works perfectly, MPG video is sometimes a little laggy and don't bother with mp4.
Summary: This item was a gift. Item is okay, do not like that you cannot delete items put on the player by the manufacturer. Some of the items put on player (music)do not fully play. The above statements were told to me by the recipient of the gift.
Summary: I love this little thing for its simplicity, and clearity when playing music. It's great for the price, and fairly sturdy so you know your money isn't going to be wasted. The back of the casing is literally made of a shiny mirror-like metal, but it's prone to scratches. Sometimes my settings seem to reset themselves, so there is another gripe, but over all I think it's a fairly wise investment.
Summary: It worked out of the box with Linux, but I'm not terribly impressed with it either. I purchased it because it was cheap and my kids wanted to have a Mp3 player around the house. After reading the reviews for the item, I decided it would be better to be safe and get a wall charger for it instead of using the computer, and a Micro SD card to load the music on.
Pros: Price Picture quality Tech support email response was < 24 hours
Cons: Overall I liked this EXCEPT there is no way to copy a playlist from computer to player. That, and you only have the option of 5 playlists, creatively named "My Music List 1" through "My Music List 5". Touchscreen action is quite slow.
Summary: I mostly bought the Trio to store pictures and video. The pictures store well and you can insert a storage card but navigating to the desired pictures is difficult. The MP4 function only works with a few video types.
