A good player at a fair price

Pamela M. Labinski, Amazon
16 July 2010
  • Summary: This is a great product for those who don't want to shell out $200+ for an iPod. Its very simple to use, made in the USA, and has good sound quality. The only things I dislike about this one are that the screen can fall back, letting little bits and pieces get under the cover, and you REALLY have to...

A Surprisingly Excellent Portable Media Player, a great value for under $70

Pavel Popa, Amazon
15 July 2010
  • Summary: (Note: I am using firmware version 1.1 at the time of this review). I have been through many portable media players in the past (including an Archos 3 , Onda VX787, and a Philips SA6145 ), although none have impressed me as much as this Mach Speed Trio.

Not a bad choice

Fredric S., Newegg
30 June 2010
  • Summary: Bought an 8GB microSDHC to add to this. 12GB is an excellent capacity. It's split up into 2 areas though - internal memory and card memory. It would be nice if it would merge the two.
  • Pros: Good screen, low price. 4GB internal memory, expandable to 12GB total. Fairly small (could be a con to some people, I consider it a pro because it's easier to carry and stash in pockets) Easy to load files with mini-USB cable
  • Cons: Doesn't support a huge range of video/picture formats No browsing/wifi like some competitors Expansion card does not add to memory, instead creates 2 memory locations

Good, solid player

C. D. Howie "cdhowie", Amazon
5 June 2010
  • Summary: Its sound quality is great, and audio is about all I use it for. (I have not tested video very much, so I have no comment on video or sound quality there.) Control is NOT touch-screen (despite the product tags), but I prefer hard controls anyway.

Great product!

Gary L. Rogers, Amazon
3 June 2010
  • Summary: Let's not compare apples to oranges...This is not an Ipod; however, for the price you can't get a better product. How much Ipod can you get for $60? Not a 4.3'' touch screen. I give the Mach Speed Trio Touch 2 thumbs up!

Runner's Opinion

D. Brundage, Amazon
31 May 2010
  • Summary: I purchased this MP3 player to use while running. Primary criteria were something small, relatively water (sweat) resistant, and simple controls. So far it has fulfilled two of the three objectives.

Great for MP3s, marginal on video & pics

Mike Frerkes "Mike", Amazon
27 May 2010
  • Summary: I found this MP3 player on sale at an FYE store in my local mall for $70. Since my job requires that I spend long periods of time in a moving vehicle, I decided to buy it and have been quite satisfied with its playback of MP3s.

Best for the price

Vadivelu Karunakaran "Vadi", Amazon
25 May 2010
  • Summary: I got these a week ago, and am absolutely in love with this player. I paid $44 and its give you everything which an I-Pod gives you. Transferring songs, videos was the easiest thing I just plugged in to my computer and folder opened all I need is drag the files, all done.
