Summary: After ordering this product for Christmas, I come to find that it is completely unable to charge. It would say it is charging, but would not charge at all. This really ruined my plans for a Christmas gift. So after I send it back, I'm told they do not have any more of the same units.
Summary: After having this MP3 player for only 2 weeks my teenage daughter dropped hers twice and the 2nd drop resulted in the screen cracking. In turn the unit does not work anymore. In short the item is way too heavy to use on a regular basis and there is no place for a hand strap or clip. You will need to buy a case if you really wanna get any use from the item and then you will need to constantly pull it in and out of the case not to mention the fact that it is touch screen...
Summary: Been using this for about 2 months. Use it for both music and video. For music - battery life is great at 6-8 hours. Sound quality is good (though I am not an audiophile) , and you can select from a half a dozen equalizer options including creating your own. (Sound quality is mainly dependent on earbud quality.) For video - screen size is large enough to enjoy movies or TV. The battery life is about 2 hours with video.
Summary: The player went beyond my expectations. The only drawback are the cheap earbuds. No problem, I expected to buy a separate, more comfortable set. Prompt delivery and very easy to follow and use.
Summary: The MP3 player had rust on it right out of the package. When you moved the headphone connector around it was scratchy. I got most of the rust off with some metal cleaner and I fixed the scratchy noise with WD40. Good thing this thing was cheap. The only reason I didn't return it is, Tigerdirect makes you jump thru hoops to return things.
Summary: I too bought this player as a more reasonably priced option to the ipod. I was pleasantly surprised with the ease of use for the music function, but am terribly disappointed with the video function. I have read and re-read the manual for help to no avail since the manual only really discusses transferring music files. I contacted technical support and the first guy barely sounded like he understood the converter program.
Summary: This is my first mp3 player; it was a Christmas gift. I am a part of that generation that expects manufacturers to provide instructions with products. There was a booklet which the manufacturer called a manual, but the typos in the text didn't inspire a lot of confidence. While there were instructions for downloading music. There was no information on how to use the other features.
Summary: This thing wrecked two harddrives, one on a Mac and one on a Dell. Both caused by a short in the USB. The Mach Speed people won't pay for the harddrives, I'm down two computers, my two sons are both down one Christmas gift. These things can be destructive. Do not buy them, and whatever you do, DO NOT PLUG THEM INTO YOUR COMPUTER!
Summary: This one sounds like a high efficienty multimedia player. Because its screen takes over one side of the player with control buttons on top. Very easy to operate. Holding one like this, one would never think about ipod (those much more expensive ones with very limited option when it comes down to video playing).
