The iRiver Clix is a digital audio player. It has a built in capacity of 2GB and weights about 2.5 ounces. It dimensions are 2.7x1.8x0.6. It has a FM radio, but it does not have a voice recorder. The FM tuner will come in handy when you want to listen to a bit of the unexpected. It also comes with 20 pre-set channels. This device has a clear reception of the stations. The portable LCD device has a 2.2-inch screen, and it also has a flash base memory. Due to the large size of the screen, you are able to view it in a comfortable manner. In addition to that the clarity is exceptional. Where the volume is concern, you cannot complain, about that either. You can play games, listen to music, and watch videos. You can also view your snap shots. The file format that is compatible with it for the video is MPEG-4.

You will have to download iRiver from their website though in order to activate the video portion of it. It supports files that are in the MP3, WAV, MVA DRM, WMA and OGG Vorbis. As for the photos, it supports JPEG. The earphone that is a part of the package works very well, nevertheless, you can always replace it with one that you are more comfortable with. You will have to keep an eye out for the screen. The reason why is that it is not finger proof. After just a few days of using it you will have some cleaning to do. The controls are user friendly though and it has a battery life of about 27 hours. After that it will need recharging. It also comes with a remote control. The price is a bit steep, but overall this is an excellent buy.

After using the player these past weeks I have to say it is one of the best players I’ve ever used, and right now is the best flash player out. When I first saw it, and read how high it was being rated by other reviews I couldn’t believe it. I still just saw it as a 2GB U10. The first few moments of using the player changed all that. The player has more features than others in its range and for just about the same price. The main problem that iriver needs to fix... Read more

Remember when the click wheels found on portable media players were innovative and unique? Yeah, now they're about as exciting as 3.5-inch floppies. Thankfully, the second generation of Iriver's Clix foregoes this clichéd control scheme with a clickable (not touch) screen for easy menu navigation. Clix 2.0 is sleeker, half an ounce lighter and features enhanced video playback at 30 frames per second. And its beautiful 2.2-inch LCD screen has been replaced with an even... Read more

Unfortunately, I lost this MP3 player. In fact, exactly 1 1/2 years later I was given a red ipod nano for Christmas in replacement of my iriver and I returned the ipod. I didn't even give it a try because it doesn't have fm/am radio capability. Huge downfall of the ipod if you ask me. The sound quality on the iriver was amazing compared to top of the line MP3s I've listened to. The fact that you don't have to push a small button, just the sides of the screen in order to... At the time we could not afford an Ipod so I researched other options 3 years ago. It sounded like this Iriver fit our budget and sounded very good. It comes in all this fancy packaging and came across like a very high end product. But it was problematic from the get go. We updated the firmware several times but the thing wouldn't work very much. This was for my teenage daughter and she got so frustrated with it she didn't even want to bother us about it any more. It sat... Read more
