Great Little Mp3 Player

Silverhaireddaddy "L. Scheidel", Amazon
6 March 2011
  • Summary: I like the all night talk show "Coast to Coast". When the discussion is one that interests me I download it to my "ELEMENT" mp3 player to listen whenever I like. I also download interviews and discussions on "You Tube" to listen at my convenience. Great little device for the price.

great

Amazon Customer "Le baron", Amazon
6 March 2011
  • Summary: this is definitely not an ipod, and some people seem to have problems operating it but once you know how to work it all the problems I've read in other's reviews are gone, all the music selections are slow but other than that I've had no problem there, I usually put it on shuffle and if you load all your music into one file instead of different folders for each band then it'll be just like a commercial-less radio, the colors you can set for shuffle or put it on a...

Pure Junk

Atari, Amazon
6 March 2011
  • Summary: These things are pure junk. First, Mac (and linux) users can forget about them, they are Windows only ([...]). Second, they are AAA battery powered but you actually have to remove the battery before plugging into a computer (really!). Third, we've seen numerous kids bring these into our library thinking their data is on the stick and poof, nothing. Do yourself a favor and stay away from these things. They are not worth the headache or the risk at any price.

Amazon customers Don't buy this!

Paul Trogen, Amazon
6 March 2011
  • Summary: We bought this at Sears (I think only Sears and Kmart carry this). Then we bought a couple songs from Amazon.com. We like Amazon. Amazon has reasonable prices and no hidden fees. You can hear the songs, but the titles are in jibberish. We cannot tell which song is which. We called Element's tech support, to get help fixing the titles. Element tech support said that we cannot download songs from Amazon for this player.

Simple and basic but perfect for a preteen

J. Wieland, Amazon
6 March 2011
  • Summary: This device is basically a USB drive with a music interface. It is small and very simple to operate. My 11 year old son, who has Asberger's Syndrome, a form of Autism, loves this device. It allows him to easily play the same list of songs over and over that he's used to without changing the CD's in his portable CD player. It's no ipod, but for $20, it makes a young boy very happy in his own little world!

Junk

T. Graczewski "tgraczewski", Amazon
6 March 2011
  • Summary: I have written over 130 book reviews on Amazon to date. This will be my first consumer product review and unfortunately it is not a positive one. My mother purchased this product for my five-year-old son because he loves listening to my iPod. I'm writing this review late on Christmas Eve after two frustrating and fruitless hours trying to get the product to work. In theory, it should be simple. It is a basic USB memory stick that evidently can play music.

Better 2G memory stick

Lee A. Wentzel, Amazon
6 March 2011
  • Summary: The operation of this device is very convoluted. I have a number of MP3 players. They all have less memory then this one. When I was at KMart they ended up having it on special for half price. Basically $12.50 for a 2 gig memory stick was a heck of a deal. With that said, the basic MP3 playing options is a pain. It works. Navigation takes some getting use to. You have a little switch that you can move forward or back and push it in to select.

Annoying

Host, Amazon
6 March 2011
  • Summary: My girlfriend got one of these as a Christmas present, and since she is not very technical, I had the task of putting some music on it and figuring out how to work it. Putting music on it wasn't too much trouble, just treat it as a USB memory stick. The biggest problem with this thing, which is why I'm giving it a terrible review, is navigating within the menus and the music.
