Summary: It's not as good as the X-Fi 2 was, and I'm having this problem with charging it: it always turns on and can't be turned off. It's inconvenient, and it makes me sad to know my favorite brand for MP3 players is basically no more.
Summary: One word description: Putrid. I use a player almost exclusively for listening to Audible books. The touch buttons are ridiculous. There is no bookmarking which I can live with since Audible books remember where you left off. They say you can fast forward/rewind using the up and down buttons. Maybe. Once every three or four tries. Most of the time when you hold down one of the buttons it scrolls few your library as if you are tapping through one at a time.
The ZEN X-Fi 3 is a Downgrade, Compared to it's Older Music Players
31 August 2014
Summary: I purchased the Creative ZEN X-Fi 3 8GB MP3 and Video Player with Touchscreen, Bluetooth, and FM Radio (Black), in 2012. I have purchased other ZEN players in the past, and this is by far the worst MP3 Player I have ever received from Creative Labs. I feel like I went back in time and traded my old upgraded MP3 Player for a new downgraded MP3 Player. All of my reasons are listed below: 1. It looks like an old MP3 Player. 2.
Summary: I bought this to replace a Sony walkman the only other mp3 i've owned was a Zen which I was hooked on as I owned five of, as I'm pretty rough on them. Creative apparently no longer makes the zen so I went with the X-Fi. I use the mp3's for audio books I need a bookmark capability as well as fast forward and rewind which this product does not have. It does have speakers for use w/o earphones which nice and blue tooth capabilities.
Summary: ..... I've had it for maybe a year now. It's not TOO shabby: COULD be better under various conditions though. For some reason, paired with the Creative WP-250 Active Bluetooth Headphones anyway, the music has a tendency to cut in and out, or sometimes sputter like a vinyl LP that the needle skips over the record or something while your listening to this for instance while walking with it in your pocket.
Summary: I have to say that, as pleased as I was with my original Creative Zen product, I am thoroughly disgusted with the X-Fi3. 1. They don't sell belt clips or any way to hold the device while running or at the gym. 2. It's a nightmare to try to create playlists. They tout the increased memory size, but it takes forever to scroll through all the songs because you can't scroll by letter. 3.
