Summary: I love creative stuff. Or at least I did. Then I bought this cool mess and it let me down hard. Froze with no hope of retrieval. Sent it back and they sent me a new one (good customer service) I then gave it to a friend and it worked for him for a good wile. Good luck!
Summary: I've had this 1 year now. It's great for air trips. I watch a movie, then put on songs. I have about 10 movies, 80 pictures and 400 songs loaded. The batery lasts about 4 hours for video or 2 hours of video and 5 hours of music.
Summary: I bought this in march. after a few months it started to crash and freeze. i rebooted and realoaded the firm ware. then my machine wouldn't turn on. i took the battery off and noticed a screw fell out, i put it back in, and unfortunatly did not fix the problem. i emailed creative customer service.
Pros: nice screen. lots of functions
Cons: poor battery life, poor design and engineering.
Summary: I bought this product in an attempt to avoid purchasing a more popular multi-media device. Now that I have it, and have compared my device to a number of others out there side-by-side, I am dissappointed in my purchase.
Pros: Huge screen. Buttons are spaced well for easy navigation. Lots of digital space. Easy management of media.
Cons: As other reviewers stated, the screen is best viewed slightly canted. Not a huge problem, but it is a downfall. When linking the device to a TV using the provided RCA cables, there is an increasing delay between the sound and the video. The longer you watch, the more obvious it gets. "Shadow" spo...
Summary: Once I RMA'd the second one, they sent me a vision W. I was originally a little upset, because I specifically wanted the standard format for the higher resolution screen, but after using it, I realized it's way better.
Pros: not an ipod. huge screen, great resolution
Cons: The first one broke and wouldn't connect to the PC, so I sent it back to newegg, the second one lasted a month and then wouldn't boot. All the while things weren't to smooth usually anyways. The screen has a really low field of view. But check out the other thoughts too.
Summary: Don't buy this if you want a chic, tiny little MP3 player. Do buy this if you want an amazing portable video/music player for trips, or to take with you in the car or camping. Don't waste your money on Apple Ipods, they are junk compared to Creative's lineup.
Pros: Amazing screen, full 640x480 resolution looks great. You don't have to sync to manage your music! Good battery life. Easy to navigate and operate. Somebody actually realized that a speaker would be a nice feature for a MUSIC player...
Summary: The player does all that it says. But everyone's worst nightmare is getting a bad one out of the box, which happened to me. I called Creative support and the helped me confirm the hard drive was defective.
Summary: I highly recommend that you also purchase an anti-glare screen protector. These are widely available - just g**gle it. Some other worthy purchases are the optional Compact Flash 5 in 1 adapter, the extended life li-ion battery and a protective case.
Pros: 640x480 screen measures 75mm x 56.5mm. Excellent sound quality. Metal casing. Feels well built. Very logical and simple software. Compact Flash slot adds to storage capability. Plays back unprotected AVI. Fast transfer times between unit and computer.
Cons: Screen glass is very shiny- tons of glare depending on your lighting. As others have mentioned, you have to tilt the screen just right to view it without getting cross-eyed. Otherwise the screen colors and clarity are very nice (if you hold the unit still). Also, buttons respond a little too slow.
