Summary: I bought this used player off of ebay for a price under $20.00 and it is absolutely perfect for what I wanted. I needed a small, relatively simple player that would hold about 500 songs and do a random play of all for background music during water aerobics classes. What I liked best was that it synced right up with Windows Media Player for downloading.
Summary: I bought this mp3 player specifically for listening to audio books that I download either from netlibrary or from the library using overdrive. It was listed on cnet.com as one of the few that has bookmarks and was in my price range. So far the bookmarks have worked well for me in things I have downloaded from netlibrary. Have not tried them with overdrive so far.

Summary: Ok since I spoil my kid and bought him the Ipod - I was looking for something cheaper but just as good - FOUND IT !! This thing is great - just pop in the software cd , follow the directions . Then connect your little player to your computer and start loading it up . This whole process took less than 30 minutes . I had about 60 - 70 songs on my computer I synced .
Summary: Creative ZEN V Plus is a compact device. As such, it's not really meant for viewing, more for audio playback & quick checking of videos. its about matchbook sized, which means the screen isn't that big (about an inch diagonal or so).
Summary: I like it due to its simplicity and easy to understand/upload. Excellent controls on unit. I bought this after reading good reviews for this product elsewhere and heavy bidding on these things on ebay. NOT the best battery life but thats the only very minor disappointment.
Summary: I have used a 2 GB Creative Zen V Plus for over a year almost exclusively for listening to audiobooks: mostly downloaded from libraries supplied through Overdrive (WMA-DRM), some from Audible. I have also found it easy to rip books (or music) from CD's to the player using the Creative software or Windows Media Player. I find the Zen V Plus well suited for audiobook listening. You can have up to ten bookmarks, as well as bookmarks for more than one book at a time.
Summary: Very user friendly. Only thing is I had to figure out things like how to delete something from the device without hooking it up to the computer to clear it. Instruction manual is not very detailed, just gives the basic stuff and omits technical info. But for us 30-somthings, I have found it's great for just listening to what I want to hear and nothing too fancy.
