Summary: I have had the V+ since graduating from high school, about four years ago. It was great then, and still is running fine all of these years later. It has been dropped several times, and there is a small crack/hole forming in the outer layer of plastic over the screen. The screen is now very difficult to see if there is the least bit of sunlight falling on it, which makes adjusting the music a pain in the car, though I usually have my passanger mess with it.
Summary: It was an okay product. Much better than my Coby. I used it to exercise and it fitted perfectly in my arm strap and was ideal for that. But now that I've moved on to my Ipod 6th gen, I just like that so much more.
Summary: I use only for the radio, songs and eBooks. You need to use the specific software to load music and books. It's not customer friendly and very often the program turns off with ' problems';also you can use only the computer where the software is loaded. Lately another very annoying problem developed.
Summary: my husband gave this Creative Zen for my Birthday and I was very happy because I needed music to exercise. So the first 2 weeks worked great, no problem at all, but then just suddenly out of the blue the music will pause itself so I had to push the play button in order to keep listening to it, other than that it works well, and the sound quality is great, but I am an aerobic teacher and this is not fun when you are in the middle of a class and the music just stops.
Summary: I really enjoy the ZEN V Plus, but don't try to find any answers to questions on their web site. You will go in circles. I would give the device about 4.5 stars, and service a zero. If you click on the "Contact Us", it takes you back to looking through their archive of answers. The only way to contact them, as far as I can see, is to comment on their web site. OTOH, they don't seem to care enough to get back to you even then.
Pros: I really wanted to love this product and it did everything I needed. It did a great job with video and audio and was the perfect size for me. I cycle and it slipped into an arm band and did a great job.
Cons: The directional button broke in 3 pieces and no replacement is available, I emailed Creative and since it is out of warranty, it is not supported AT ALL..
Summary: When I got this MP3, it worked great, I got it playing music the first day. But, a few years later, I think they were two, it started to get lines in the screen. My big brother told me that means its dying. I was so upset. I loved it. But it works fine, but I can't bear to think that in any moment it will die. My dad has one and has had no problem with it. I think it won't die if you use it everyday. My dad uses it everyday and it's perfect.
Summary: I've owned my player for about a year now and mostly listen to mp3 audio books. I use it every day extensively. It has been dropped a few times (nothing traumatic) so the case is missing a corner and it is scratched and showing wear on the buttons. My real problem with the Zen is that the battery is buried within the unit. The only reason to make the battery so inaccessible to to plan obsolescence.
Summary: I use my Zen for listening to audio books. Although they transfer and play well, I wish that it had a bookmarking feature. If I stop playing the book to look up something in contacts, I can't easily get back to where I left off in the book. When you fast forward for too long, it freezes and you have to reset with a paper clip.
