The Zen Stone Plus doesn't get everything right (have I mentioned there's no built-in clip?). One of the most common annoyances I ran across in testing the unit came when scrolling through songs using the click wheel. As noted above, this is a great feature and a big step up from the screenless Zen Stone. Unfortunately, since the Plus has no true scrolling mechanism, you'll need to click that button on the wheel a lot. If you've got 45 albums on your Plus and you're t... Read more

First I would like to say I am a fan of Creative’s Zen line of MP3 players. Although they have their issues and deficiencies like any MP3 player, overall they are a solid product line. The Zen Stone Plus has some good things going for it such as MSC data transfer, solid build quality, a nice design, and a decent set of features in a small package. However, personally, the Stone Plus disappointed me. There are two main reasons why the Zen Stone Plus was a disappointmen... Read more

A few annoyances, but overall a decent player for a cheap price and a good value for the money in my opinion. Hopefully they will fix some of these issues in a future firmware release, but even if they don't, I still feel its worth it. Read more

my girlfriend got me this for my birthday. it's roughly $87 but generally, gadgets are more expensive here in my country than in the US, so i can't really gripe about it. It's small and light to carry around easily. and it won't get in the way of other things in your pocket. it' s a great companion for working out and my daily commute. the sound is great, even through the earphones that came with it. i thought i was gonna need to buy a pair of noiseless earphones, but... The only bad thing I can say is that I wish I had a plug in charger when I went away. It is a great little unit that is duarble, stays charged by my computers, and easy to use once you get used to it. For the price paid, why buy an IPod? I wish the software worked with my Windows 2000 computer, but you can download other players for Windows 2000 that work with the Zen Stone. Creative Labs did a great job with this one. Can't get more bang for the buck. Read more

  2. [MP3 Players and Music] A word of warning about the zen stone plus 2GB

Just putting this out there - I wouldn't recommend buying the Creative Zen Stone Plus 2 GB. Additionally this post should serve as word of warning for dealing with Creative Technical Support generally. I bought a Zen Stone Plus 2GB player late last year. It initially worked well (except for the extremely poor battery life). About 2 months out...
