Summary: While Zen may be a trancendental state of mind, this ZEN will put you in a less enlightened frame of mind if you buy it. I did and now have lived to regret it. The unit frequently freezes and can be reset with a paperclip. Then it for some wonderful reason, it deletes a part or all of a song(s) when you do. The battery life is pitiful, even with the backlight and extras turned off. Forget about downloading firmware or software and getting it to install correctly.
Summary: Less than 2 months after purchase the buttons stopped working, and the manufacturer was difficult to deal with. No useful support or responsibility. Amazon, which is where I purchased, gave me an 80% refund. Disappointing.
Summary: I received the Zen Sleek in early January. I used it about a month with no problems except the occasional freezing up that is apparently pretty common with this item. With a paper clip reboot, you can undo that problem pretty quickly. However, after a month of use, it became unusable due to a hardware problem. Through Creative's online customer support, I got some tips. I reloaded the firmware, etc. However, it finally became totally unresponsive.
Summary: I've had this MP3 player for a good while.... Got it new for over $200 dollars and after watching the market for almost two years I realize what a bad deal that was. I suppose it is worth the $129 price. My main problems with it were the following: 1. small screen. The screen boasts a ton of colors, but the screen is small and rather old looking. 2. horrible battery. they say it is a 19 hour battery, but nay.
Summary: In case you've come across info about this product that says it works with Windows 2000...don't learn the hard way, like I did. The product is only supported by XP or higher...if you have Windows 2000, it will NOT work (Unless you are using Windows 2000 in Asia, according to Deepak, the Creative media support fellow.) So I bought this, and tried to install it, and no go... have to send it back.
There are known faults with there. I would suggest to steer clear.

Excerpt: I bought one of these and was really happy with the sound quality and the storage space. The headphones let the player down a little, but they are of course replaceable. It's not the most stylish player, but the sound quality and storage space made up for that for me. After a few uses my player froze and could not be rebooted. I contacted creative and returned it (cost me recorded delivery to ireland).
