Pretty good design, but quality was lacking

R. PD Vanderkam, Amazon
11 May 2013
  • Summary: I got this to go along with the MP3 player by the same company. It broke after only a few months use. We replaced it and it did the same again. By broke, I mean it stopped working, so perhaps a solder point or something. Nothing we could figure out. But it was great while it lasted.

Doesn't work with the Zen 32 gb mp3 player I ordered

M. Wauge, Amazon
27 January 2010
  • Summary: I ordered a new Zen 32gb mp3 in the same order believing that this product would work with it. It doesn't work and I don't see a TravelSound that will. It is one of the main reasons I ordered another Creative Labs player instead of an ipod (the ability to dock it to a speaker while at the same time charging). So, I'm not happy with it. I don't understand why Creative Labs doesn't offer a chargable docking station for each major mp3 playor it offers.

You want folders? No, you can't have them!

Scope, Amazon
26 December 2008
  • Summary: I just bought it for my mom (8Gb version) - I thought this would be a nice simple cheap player, but in my efforts to load my music and her English lesson mp3s I got nothing but 3 hours of headache. Forget about your folders on your comp, where your files are neatly arranged. The player will pile all of them into one big hip, and rename them according to who-knows-what rules (some of the files had the same name!!!).

Mozaic it's OK.

C. Calderon, Amazon

  • Summary: This is avery simple to use MP3 player, with many features. For average poeple (even Ipods user) this is the right mp3 player for you. I found few problems related to this mp3 player: - Only support windows, you need to work more hours if you are a Linux or Mac user. - EQ is 5 bands only: 80Hz, 250Hz, 1KKz, 4KHz and 13KHz.

Annoying software. Media Player dependency.

GP, Amazon
24 December 2008
  • Summary: This is my third Creative MP3 player. Purchased for 11 year old girl. She loves it and the speaker is a major plus. I have the Creative Zen, ultimately a better deal though not as "cute". What I don't like makes me wish I had forgone cute. Specially: The player's PC software requires the latest version of Windows Media Player, which is NOT supported on Windows Media Center 2002. So that's a major problem if that's your OS.

Zen Mozaic

fridgeRai..., Ciao
10 November 2012
  • Excerpt: I decided to purchase another MP3 player, as I felt that it was not always practical to use my iPod touch for music. There were times when I only wanted some music to listen to and did not need any other features such as video and applications. This meant that carrying a large MP3 player with a large screen and extra features was unnecessary. I decided to buy the Creative Zen Mozaic, as it was compact, looked cool and only cost £30.
  • Pros: Sound quality, well designed, long battery life, inexpensive
  • Cons: Video playback is not great, no supplied power adapter

"We are experiencing major technical difficulties..."

tasha_96, Ciao
25 November 2011
  • Excerpt: I bought the Zen Mosaic around a year and a half ago, after my trusty lifelong MP3 player and friend, (my Samsung YP-Z5) had finally reached its time and had died on me. I had done a lot of research before actually purchasing another music playing device, as I wanted to get a top quality MP3 with a lot of storage space that I would not have to replace or exchange, like I have done with every other player.
  • Pros: Great sound qualtiy, amazing battery life and the 16GB version holds loads of songs
  • Cons: Major technical difficulties, and Zen LIED in their specification

It's a ZEN

brightspa..., Ciao
16 August 2011
  • Excerpt: I have had a ZEN 2 years, and have found it rather complicated to use. It is so small I am worried about loosing it, or dropping it and it straight away breaks. The buttons are to close together so they are rather hard to press, especially with long nails. The screen is far to small to read and trying to watch a movie on it is impossible. It is easy for it to slip out of my hand as there are no grips on it.
  • Pros: It was a reasonable price
  • Cons: Limited features  -  Sound quality
