Summary: I love the controls and the ability to listen without headphones, but given what I payed for this vs. what I payed for my current mp3 player and how long this thing lasted me, it really belongs in the garbage.
Summary: This was a refurbrished unit I have had 6 of these creative zens and love them this one is a dud as well as the previous one I bought. The only way it works is to hook it to the computer then it will come on. If it is turned off you must hook it up to the computer to jump start it.
Summary: I bought this player to listen to books and old time radio programs. The books I often rip from CDs and the radio programs are downloaded from internet sites. I then make them into play lists and load to the player. The first problem I have with this player is that it does not start back up at the point where it was turned off, even if you press PAUSE first. Instead it goes back to the beginning of the track.
Summary: I liked this player. It had good sound and was easy to use. But when I tried to rewind an audio track it would freeze. I used the reset button over and over, but it would always freeze when I tried to rewind, so I had to return it. I still like Creative products, though. I loved my Zen V Plus, which lasted a long time until the volume control broke. I also have a Zen which still works great.
Summary: Great amount of options on this product, a lot of thought was put into the design and appearance, but appearance is about all you get here, the sound quality with stock headphones and none stock headphones is something left to be desired, please avoid this player if your a audiophile, I had considerably better sounding audio out of my cowon jet audio, may it rest in peace.
Summary: Creative Centrale software does not work properly. Duplicates songs continually. Problems from day 1 the software was loaded. Only able to contact tech support via e-mail 1 time. Attempted numerous phone calls without answers so gave up. Responded to a representative early email without return help. Not good. Have had 3 Creative MP3's and this is the worst.
Summary: After some experience with mp3 players and iPods, I'd say spend a little more $ to get a better-quality product that will last longer (especially with AppleCare's automatic 1-year warranty). I got this mp3 player about two months ago, and the screen no longer works - I didn't drop it (to my knowledge), and consider that I took pretty good care of it. It's just not the same quality and durability that you'd get with an Apple product.
Summary: i just got mine the other day it came on for me last night but when i was tryin to put some songs on there it just keep sayin that my mp3 player was not plug in but i cant be mad hey what can i say it was used im just glad that it was just 31 dollars :)
