Summary: I have had a few of these. they have been replaced due to loss or OLD age. I purchased these two for some friends aged 9 and 13 years old. It is a durable MP3 player. It has an external speaker which, I believe is safer for the younger crowd. It has a microphone to remind them of the assignments at school or chores at home. HAahhaahaha....... and they can listen to their favorite radio station, carry pictures of their friends and family.
Summary: I bought the Zen Mosaic to mainly listen to audio books. I have also used it to download podcasts as well. It is a nice little unit and has been fun to use. Since it is a model that is no longer being made, I bought the square trade warranty just in case. Only drawbacks so far is it doesn't like to "rewind" tracks. I have had it stop when I try to back up to hear something I missed.
Summary: 5 stars over-all for a good quality player. 4 stars for ease of use because most people have much bigger fingers than I do, and the buttons are very little. 5 stars for sound quality. Compare it with an iPod and the iPod sounds like someone crinkling a wrapper through a phone line. 5 stars for features. Pictures, video, changing the background, infinite playlists, 'random play all' feature, microphone...
Summary: I bought two of these for my daughters and I want one for myself. They are very small little players, but hold plenty. Like all Creative MP3 players they can play back a large variety of formats. I usually sync with Windows Media player. If you want to create playlists you sometimes pull them in from WMP but sometimes you have to use Creative's SW which is terrible and flaky. But if you try a few times you can usually get it to work.
Summary: I love Creative products, they are so easy to use. I was most impressed with my first purchase some years back and I'm a rock solid fan! All three of my children own and enjoy Creative players.
Summary: I needed an inexpensive mp3 player to play music as well as some instructional audio that I was using. I really did not want something expensive with lots of bells and whistles but I wanted something easy to use. This player was what I needed. I like the menu set up better than the Creative Zen 4g that I used to use. The only thing I wish I had looked for before I made my purchase was whether it had FM radio. I would have used that feature, and some mosaics do have it.
good clearance deal, good quality sound, okay interface

Summary: Bought this because it was on super clearance, and both my ipod and zen just died. Don't like the software for podcast management, as I have to do a lot of that manually now. But the sound quality is good, especially if you get better headphones. Unit is small and stable enough for workouts, which is main use I have for it. Does videos well, but I stopped using it for that as the conversion takes time.
Summary: Stylish, inexpensive, works well, great features. What more could I ask for? How about a wall charger that doesn't cost the same thing as the mp3 player? Turns out my regular wall chargers don't work on this one and the one I did find was just about the same cost as the mp3 player. I'm not a radio or speaker type person, so that doesn't bother me. The extra features of contacts, calendar, bookmarks, alarm, clock, etc.
