Summary: This is my 3rd Creative Mp3, and second Mozaic and I only bought this one because the last one had been dropped one to many times in puddles. Okay the Cons: The software that comes with Creative's Mp3 players to transfer music is horrible and hasn't been updated substantially in at least six years. It is also a pain to create playlists on the player itself. You basically have to use the crummy software. The earbuds that come with it are also cheap and uncomfortable.
Summary: I've had the Zen for about 2-3 weeks now and so far, no complaints. I got what I paid for in terms of navigating the system, sound quality and user-friendliness. Compared to mainstream components, it is a bit harder to use, in terms of transferring audio files, videos and other types of data to the drive. It's easy once you get use to it, albeit a bit cumbersome. I bought the unit mainly to listen to lectures and Audiobooks on the go and it has impressed me so far.
Summary: The ZEN was an upgrade for me as I had an old RCA MP3 that was around 5 years old and only held a gig of music. This one has many more cool features to it as well. The few things that could use some improvement are the sound, which surprisingly, my older RCA player is a lot better. Also, when plugged into the head phone jack to use in my car, the wire comes out the bottom which poses minor problems when trying to pick up and change album folders etc.
Summary: My zen micro photo just died on me last month and I needed a new mp3 player, I tried out the sansa product line... None of them can drive my headphones(sennheiser HD280's)loud enough to produce any bass(especially the sansa clip). I was rather dissappointed with all of them. I wanted something that JUST plays mp3s that has excellent soud quality an no touch screen. This is the only new mp3 player on the market that qualifies.
Summary: This is the second zen MP3 that I have had. This one has much better sound quality than the other. The problem I had with it was the buttons. Since I listen a lot of the time at night, the all black buttons that are all alike didn't work for me. Ultimately I put a plastic stick-on button on the center button so I could feel the difference. Otherwise it has all the qualities that you would want froma mp3 player, good sound, long battery life. small size etc.
