Summary: I bought a 32GB version. Pros: It's pretty small and lightweight for its capacity and feature set. Battery life is great -- it easily lasts for >24 hours without any charging. No special syncing software is needed -- just connect the device as a USB storage and copy files over. The firmware on the device will automatically recognize newly added files. It also supports Ogg natively, which makes this device a good fit if you use Linux as the primary computer (like me).
Summary: I did a lot of research before buying this player. The music I listen to is all in FLAC format with a large amount of it being live shows from 40+ years ago. This player provides you with the ability to create your own settings with the advanced EQ (Jet Effect) or just use a standard setting. The sound is crisp and clear much better than any Apple product I have used. Getting used to the interface takes a little time as it does with any new product you purchase.
Summary: I ahve used this MP3 player for over a year now and I could not be happier. As someone who eschews all things Apple, I was more than happy to replace my Creative Zen Vision:m with the Cowon after reading some reviews. The sound quality is out of this world with many preset EQ setting and 4 user customizable ones. As someone who rides the train daily in NYC, a good MP3 is a must have item and I never leave home without my Cowon.
An excellent player with a few minor (but annoying) file format issues

Summary: A slick, beautiful, lightweight player, outstanding in most regards. It is loaded with glitzy extras beyond the already abundant iAudio feature set, including a fun drawing program, a flash player, and several layout look/feel options for displaying the main menu. It also features the supurb audio quality that has made Cowon renowned, ogg/flac codec support, tacticle buttons to allow common operations -- volume, play/pause, and track skip -- to be accessed without having...
Summary: I think this is a great player. I've had it about a year and a half and I love it. For trips I can load Podcasts, books, and movies with plenty of room for my SciFi audio mp3's and all my music. I sometimes use it to record my own tunes from my home studio and have a mobile unit I can keep handy. I've used it to record real time classes and sermons. Recording directly to the unit lacks quality as expected but is adequate for info. The sound is amazing.
Summary: I bought the Cowon S9 a couple of months ago, and have been using it ever since. I bought this after I killed my 5th Generation iPod classic (which I was running Rockbox on). After doing some investigation, I decided on this player for a couple of reasons: * it can play FLAC files, which was something that I wanted. * it has a touchscreen. * it can be very easily customized.
Cowon is top dog for Audio as usual...everything else meh....

Summary: I've been a Cowon fan since the X5...I've played many different types of audio and audio/video players. Cowon has always had the best audio quality of any portable audio I've ever heard out of the box. The S9 is no different, audio quality...superb. If your an audiophile, anything Cowon since the X5 is your audio music player. The S9 is no different. The sound level can be put up to 40 max. It sounds louder then most other mp3 players I've heard.
Summary: I bought the Cowon S9 because I wanted a high quality MP3 player and did not like the experience of being tethered to iTunes when I had my previous iPod. Overall, the S9 was what I was hoping to get. PROS - The battery life on this thing is fantastic. I have it running 10 hours a day when I am sitting at my desk at work, and it will go for several days before needing to be charged.
Summary: This is an amazing device that totally destroys my opinion of what a PMP can be. You have access to so many features (typist, radio, photo viewer, truly audiophile sound quality, etc...) that makes this a truly unique and fantastic device. This is a seemingly audio-centric device but, that is shattered by its numerous features and with a great user community that is always tweaking and enhancing your user experience FREE OF CHARGE!
