Summary: This device was with me everywhere. The battery life is phenomenal by today's phone and mp3 player standards. I would repeatedly go multiple days listening to this device at work for 6 to 8 hours every day before needing to recharge it. The UI doesn't make a lot of sense, but once you get used to it, you'll never be disappointed by the sound quality. The responsiveness of the device UI is fantastic.
Summary: First of all, many thanks to all of you who have posted detailed reviews about various MP3/Media players, especially the Cowons. I lost my Zen XiFi this summer to a rogue wave while at the beach. And even though it meant going without my music for a while, I researched quite a bit since the last time I was in the market for one was 3 years ago. The J3 seemed like it would be a good fit for my needs, based on Amazon reviewers and others.
Summary: POSITIVES: 1. OUTSTANDING battery life (real life example: with light/normal usage during my week-long holiday, there's still lotsa juice left when I came home) 2. Great sound quality and the audio enhancements (JetEffects 3/BBE) certainly help 3. Drag-and-drop capabilities for songs and videos. Ok I'm old fashioned when it comes to all this syncing and stuff, I prefer to transfer manually. 4. Full set of essential physical buttons!
Summary: I purchased this product to replace my iPod touch 4th gen. I messed around and dropped it and the screen on it cracked slightly. Just enough to where the screen is totally white and can't see anything, yeah nice right. I was trying to get away from apple and also find a better player, one that would play FLAC and my 320kps music files flawlessly. After searching and scour reviews, and lastly going to headfi.org, I decided on this one.
Summary: I needed a good player to play my FLAC files. After reading many reviews, the J3 was highly recommended. I was using a Sansa Plus player and improvement is noticeable. I would compare it to sound quality coming directly out of a CD/DVD player. On my higher end EIM's some songs stood out on the Sansa and some just okay. On the J3 everything sounds good. This player can drive some the higher end EIM's like the RE-262 however an amp is recommended.
Summary: This is a superior mp3/media player! the sound quality is superb..the styling, elegant i have in total 6 mp3 players currently and this is my absolute favorite to listen to...so underrated! GET IT! if you love tunes, you will love this!
Summary: I just got it yesterday and it was nice until the micro card would not lock in... I tried multiple times to get it to lock in the slot and it wouldn't, so I don't think I will take the chance keeping it.. I was impressed by how good the touch screen responded but the sound distorted after going up to 38 on the volume control even with an external speaker and more than one brand too.. one red flag is all I need and for that price its not worth risking..
