Great sound, the user interface leaves a lot to be desired.

Summary: I agree with the other reviews here. The player sounds great and it plays everything in my library be it flac, ogg, . . . and does it well. The user interface is not intuitive but I am beginning to get comfortable with it. The battery life is nothing like the estimate in the specs. However, if you fully charge it regularly like it says in the owner manual, the life does seem to improve.
Great sound quality and experience, poor resolution! But this is not a TV

Summary: Very good sound experience, altought a little distortion sometimes. Great sex appeal, good to touch, BBE+ is an impressive bónus for this machine! 3 faulty pixels (dead pixels)and poor resolution! great battery life and ... the sound is really better than every MP3 I know. And that was because of the sound quality I bought it.
Summary: Returned this item today. It looks great - if you go to Cowon's website and see all the pictures you'd think this is one magical product - and it matched all my requirements (32GB space, easily accessible as a USB disk, in-built speaker, good sound quality) yet I am returning it. Why? 1) The UI is terrible. Color Therapy is a useless addition, but I don't mind that. What I mind is the whole navigation mechanism. The player isn't touchscreen.
Great sound, great equalization, excellent amplification, and yes extremely horrible operating system.

Summary: If your looking at Cowon you are obviously tired of being let down by the other mp3 players and their sound. I have found Sony Mp3 players to be close to this quality with everything from apple being far inferior to this amount of equalization. I really don't know how someone can listen to this device once and go back to apple products for music. I really hope they change at some point, but it seems doubtful. The sound is great. From mp3 to FLAC files.
Summary: It's a decent player with good sound quality. The color therapy is a hoax, useless and nobody needs it (it's just an option to choose the color of the interface with a fancy name). Who needs therapy while listening the player anyways? 38 hours of music playback is a MYTH (in my case) I'm lucky if I can use it for 5-6 hours. Even if I don't use it it dies in 4-5 days. I have other players that hold the charge for weeks.
Summary: Best sounding player ever; a few small things needed but not worth removing a star for. Would have been nice if the aux were unplugged the music would be paused, rather than continue playing from the internal speakers. A mute button would also have been good. But that aside, perfection. Edit: There is actually a way, in the settings, for the internal speakers to not automatically play music once the aux cable is removed!
Summary: I bought it along with the Audio Technica M50 headphones and its a match made in heaven. The player adds something magic to my existing mp3 files - audio is very "crisp" and perfectly balanced. The BBE effects are not a gimmick, they work for sure. I use the BBE Headphone 3 setting and it is the perfect level of treble and bass for me. This may sound like a cliche, but I am hearing things I didnt realize already existed in those files.
Summary: Yes this player can be a tad frustrating to operate as several of Cowons players are, but $150.00 for 32g and jet audios awesome sound is just too good to pass up. I own about 11 Cowon players of all different models, some are a bit of a pita to operate, but I mostly load music, push shuffle, n let the enjoyment begin. Would not hesitate to buy this or any of their players. It's nice n lite :-) n fits nicely in your hand.
