Summary: I used to have a d2 which failed to work after many years of loyal use and was hoping this would be as good orbetter but it failed to have the same options as the d2 and is inferior imo for battery life and capabilites.
Summary: Pros: Good sound, lots of features, ability to load new flash UI. Cons: You NEED to load a new flash UI, at least for the browser. No way to lock the buttons, turns itself on and messes things up in my pocket all the time. Charge cable doesn't seem to snap in, you put it in, and it works, but it slides right out.
Summary: I almost didn't buy this mp3 player because of the dreadfully mentioned UI. Glad I still did though. Upon getting this player looked on the internet to find anything that could give more information on how to get through the UI with ease. But i couldn't find anything helpful. So i attempted to give it a go myself. Honestly it doeses have glitches and at times buggy. Nothing you can't get used to.
Summary: I have had my C2 for almost 3 weeks now, and I have wanted to say SOMETHING about it, hopefully that is not redundant, but would help prospective buyers. There is no getting around having to touch on SOME things other people have already said, but hopefully I can lend some insight anyway. Besides this player, I own an iPod (on iphone) - SONY A and S series - Samsung Q1 - Sansa Clip and Sansa Fuze.
Summary: I had a Cowon D2 for many years, and it had a simple but easy to use menu and amazing battery life. If you were not using it, the player would hold a charge for weeks, and it lasted for several day of continuous playing. Terrible Menu: The menu system is horrible. People complained about the D2, so I figured this was only marginally worse; however, the menu is horrible.
Summary: I was looking for a music player that supported FLAC and after researching and asking some friends, I went with Cowon. This is what I have to say about the C2: - Exceptional audio quality--I've been listening to music on my C2 with a pair of Sennheiser HD428 and I've been hearing parts of songs that I've never heard before. - Equalizer--With more presets than I've ever seen before, the equalizer on the C2 is the best I've ever come across.
Summary: I'm happy with my new Cowon C2. Read bellow. Interface: I've read a lot of complaints about the interface being "weird" or "unusual" on the web. Well, you have to be wise interpreting these things. People were saying that the interface is difficult to figure out. No one was saying that the design of the interface is bad and no one was specific about what's weird about it. I thought: "it's an mp3 player, how hard can it be to figure it out?" and I was right.
Summary: Sound quality is amazing, durable solid build quality, only reason this gets 4 stars is because it has froze up a couple of times but there is a way to reset it and it worked fine, no problems since.
Summary: Every once in a while you come across some products that give an excellent value for your dollar. Cowon C2 is one such thing. Everything that the reviewers have been raving about its sound quality are true. There is no comparable product that plays so many formats..especially FLAC and WAV..uncommpreesed music..out of the box. You can use the rockbox software on Sandisk and Ipods, but still I am pretty convinced that the music quality will be no where near this one.
