Summary: Got this so my wife could play YouTube 1024x720 MP4 vids at the gym while on the stairs or treadmill. It works very well for that. She loves it. It's easy to load and manage files using drag and drop with a USB cable connected to a PC. It charges while connected to the PC or you can use the included power supply. The screen is a good size (5") and it comes with a cloth bag to protect it while it's in her gym bag.
Summary: Bought this as a temporary media player to replace my PSP while I was getting it repaired. Let me break down what is good and what is not so good: Pros: - Nice screen, big and pretty bright - good battery life - plays almost every format of video I've thrown at it, from .flv. to MP4 to .wmv, to .mkv, and more without have to be reformatted - If you play .mkv files on it, it allows you to enable and disable subtitles and change languages on the fly - music sounds good -...
Summary: This coby player was really nice for the first couple of weeks. Played video very well and all other functions worked great. The build quality also seemed fine. But thats about as in depth review I could do. The screen broke when someone used there elbow to get up off the floor. Player was under a sheet. Any screen would break under the circumstances so I am not faulting coby.

Summary: Not a bad portable video player and for the price was a great buy. I may purchase another just to have a back-up because they have been discontinued due to company merging. Coby player is a good product and show up quick, brand new in all original box with all the conections you need. Also had HDMI cable included!
Summary: Gave it 4 of 5 because the controls are a little weird to use. I've used it as a repository for MP3 files then patched it into a larger system and it worked fine. The video quality is better than I expected, both with 'canned' content and video I shot. It would be nice if it had a small stand to go with it, but that should be easy to fabricate, or possibly get a small photo frame holder - one of those tripod things that folds flat springs to mind.
Summary: I have a buget audiophile setup. Pieced together from various sources. This media player from COBY is one of my crown jewels. Not only is it built sturdy and heavy, I have found this device plays mastering quality music files. 24 bit 192khz lossless files. This was not mentioned in the prouduct or the technical description. I was considering buying a FiiO 24/192 portable music player for over 200 bucks! Now I do not need to.
