Works fine, except the battery door

Artemis3, Amazon
31 May 2012
  • Summary: The squareish form is a little annoying, but this device works just fine. The only problem is with the battery door, it simply won't stay close, probably a plastic defect. It does play fine and sounds fine otherwise.

Didn't last long

larooey, Amazon
28 May 2008
  • Summary: I bought this as a Christmas gift for my teenage daughter. It didn't last much longer than 30 days. Before this, however, it had good sound.

Good value but strange delays

A. Potter, Amazon
4 March 2008
  • Summary: I've only had this thing a few weeks, and overall I think it's worth the $$, but I've noticed a strange issue. I put in a 2 gig card filled with music. When I first turn the thing on it takes an inordinate amount of time to 'boot up', as if it wasn't built to handle 2 gigs of music. The problem seems to be worse when the battery is getting old.

There are worse players

David M. Gammon "Solar Musician Geek", Amazon
2 March 2008
  • Summary: It looks sturdy and was as expected for 2 days only. Now it won't even power up without an error message. This player has gotten normal reviews elsewhere, but my unit was flawed yet not worth sending back. You often get what you pay for. I bought a Creative Zen after, which works well.

Very disappointed

A. Stineman, Amazon
11 January 2008
  • Summary: We ordered this as a Christmas gift for our son. Thankfully we opened it so we could load music on it so he could use it right away. When we tried to load music, it would get stuck after every song. We would have to power it off and then try again. After 2 hours of trying we gave up and requested a refund!

Dropped it in the pool and still works!!

R. Barrett "hollyjsmom", Amazon
8 January 2008
  • Summary: Best gift I've bought myself in years. Now I'll never go back to cds. Extremly lightweight, I can carry it with me anywhere. Great product for the money, would recommend to someone new to mp3s like I am. Very easy to load,I put almost 200 songs on mine in an hour. I also put an sd card in no problem. The only complant I have is I can't figure out how to set it to resume.

Great Player

J. R. O. Neal "Islidur", Amazon
3 January 2008
  • Summary: Holds a ton of music, battery lasts a very long time, hooks up easily to any AUX port or RCA plugs on any radio. The built in FM tuner and expandability via SD card is unmatched. I bought one of these for each of my employees (13) this Christmas and every one of them love it.

By all means, skip this product!

Rodney L. Beckett "hek!", Amazon
30 December 2007
  • Summary: The player was working fine when I got it for christmas, no problems except faulty battery life and a seperation with the internal and the memory card memory. Then, a random day came which something broke the inside of the head-phone jack, and now it only works in one phone, no matter what pair of head-phones I put inside it! It sucks! Yeah, the price is good, but literally this peice of crap is worth nothing, so it's still overpriced.

Almost all the features a gadget geek would want

Amazon Customer, Amazon
28 December 2007
  • Summary: Here are some good features of this player (the first 3 were absolutely essential for me): * It shows up as a USB disk drive (as does the SD/MMC card) and understands long filenames and directories so you can just drag and drop files in any modern OS. Additionally, you can swap the SD/MMC card between this player and many others (e.g. some car stereos) without having to reformat the whole thing.
