Summary: Insanely great video player. I bought htis to replace my Panasonic portable dvd player. So far I've watched approx. 25 1 hour tv episodes. Battery life is approx. 4 hours. I know the control buttons seem really weak, but so far so good, and if anything goes wrong with the buttons, most controls are repeated on the remote. I love this things, it's light weight, and fast to bootup.

Summary: Avoid ALL COBY PRODUCTS BECAUSE THE COMPANY WENT BELLY UP THIS PAST SPRING OR SUMMER!!! THERE NO PRODUCT OR TECHNICAL SUPPORT FOR COBY PRODUCTS!!! I found this in the review section!! [...] facebook posting by: Darin E: ATTENTION: Gordon Brothers buys out a bankrupt company called "COBY" and for everyone that mailed in their broken products to COBY prior to the buyout can no longer get their items repaired or the broken ones returned...
Summary: I bought this player for a cross-country trip with our 2-year old thinking I would rather have a solid-state media device that I could pre-load instead of getting a DVD player and having to carry around who-knows-how-many DVDs to keep him entertained on two five hour flights. Fundamentally, the device works fine. You can easily load up media on to the on-board memory or onto a memory card and be on your way.
Summary: So I've had 2 of these now, one was defective on arrival, the other lasted about 7 months. While it was working I would have rated it at 5 stars. I thought it was a great little player. I put quite a few kids shows on an SD card and let the kids go at it. It lasted for about 5 months before the battery quit holding more than a 15 minute charge. Then about 2 months later the USB connector inside the machine broke off so you couldn't charge it at all.
Summary: Excellent product for the price. it does exactly what its intended to. it plays videos and music. however the controls could have been a little more user friendly. it gets better once you get used to it though.
