Summary: The bad- It takes a little while getting used to because of all the technical and computer stuff. You have to be good with computers (as I was) to get as much as possible from this great player. The good- Is one of the very few mp4's with a camera and camcorder. takes good quality vids, ok quality pics. organizes music well, and has many home screen and setting options for the player itself. highly recommended product.

Pros: This is great little unit. It does everything Archos says it can do. The screen is beautiful and the system is easy to use. Listen to music, watch video, play games and takes pictures and shoot video all in one system.
Cons: Some files it says it will not play but if you force it to accept, it plays. Then some files it takes & won't play or will stop playing part way. You need to go in & delete all the extra junk on the hard drive that they ship with it & then chk
Summary: Before this I had a 2nd gen Ipod. It was total crap compared to this slick device. I have used it for 2 years an not one lick of a problem. My friend has one per my recommendation and without a computer, he uses it to store personal files. My stepdad got one per my recommendation and uses his daily as well. Trust me, you can't go wrong with Archos. Oh, yeah, My mom even got the archos 4gb mp3 player as well. Archos ROCKS.
Summary: I bought my Gmini 402 about 2 months ago. I love it. I use it to play MP3's, take pictures and shoot videos. It also doubles as a portable hard disk drive. I've found the player to be reliable, the sound quality to be good and the picture quality to be good. The player allows for the creation of playlists and for the export of playlists from your computer to the player. It can be connected to a Windows machine as a windows device or as a hard disk drive.
Summary: I have had the Gmini 402 cam for about a week now, and I have been very impressed so far. I started off looking for a device that I could simply dump digial photos on, but the gadget monger inside of me wanted more than just a mass storage device for photos. This was the best option I could find that included the USB Host(direct connect with digital camera) and a good mp3 player on it.
