Summary: After spending $140.00 on the 7th generation Apple Nano and returning it, I purchased the Archos 24C. Yes it is bigger in size, but because I am using it at work I didn't care. Nice metal exterior and also has a touchscreen. The FM radio reception was better on the Archos than the Apple. Go figure. Basically paying more money for the item, does not insure you get better quality. The 8 GB was adequate storage for my music. My only complaint would be the battery life.
Summary: I love it I love the price I got it for it does everything I need it is amazing. if only it had a watch thats the only thing it is missing perhapse bluetooth but even without those features i love it
Summary: If you're looking for updating your music constantly or an mp3 with a good random setting, This is not your buy
Pros: Great storage Space.
Cons: The touch screen started going after a week. The random function is terrible. The worst part is that after a few plug ins with either my linux or Windows partition, the device stopped being recognized. If it had come with some drivers it'd be worth it
Cons: The item title "Archos - 24 Vision Internet Touch Tablet with Camera - 8GB (501640)" makes you think that it has a touch screen or it has Internet access. neither is true. great disappointment. it is a very very basic MP3 player.
Pros: this an amazing product it is a great size and weight. i would absolutely recommend this product to all my friends and family!
Cons: well there are two one the usb cord it comes with makes a little intimidated 'cause it looks like it doesn't fit but ya just need to push, two is its power mine does not like the on and off SWITCH so i use the side button.
Summary: Overall a good player takes some time to get used to controls. I learned that lock mode is engaged by holding down home button for a few seconds and same for lock release.
Pros: Excellent Audio quality, Nice clip earphone design so it does not pull on jack, very slim and light, battery last about 10hours i use it at work every day for about 7 hours and it still has 2 out of 3 bars left for music palying. Controls are pretty good, quick charging.
Cons: When playing video battery drains pretty fast. Shuffle feature is not great replays a lot some songs are never played at all. No SD expansion Slot if it has expansion slot this player would be 5 eggs.
Pros: Excellent audio quality. About the right size - not too big or too small. Reasonable intuitive navigation thru the menus. Price. Video works but obviously low resolution. Easy to download from PC but took about 50 minutes to do 7.5 Gigs of music files. Quick recharge - about 30 minutes. Battery play seems to last a long time. Can have output go to home audio system using 3.5 mm Plug to standard RCA cable. The output is pretty low so you must set home audio volume high...
Cons: Only very basic Instructions. Much you must figure out on your own. Even Archos customer service doesn't know operational details. Archos reply to some questions: "Unfortunately we do not have any information on these devices as we do not show where it has been officially released for sale to the North American Market by our company." Note: Goes in lock mode if your finger covers a bunch of touch icons simultaneously. Repeating that touch will take it out of lock mode.
