The ARCHOS 2 vision is a personal media player that is available in 8GB and 16GB and support memory expandability via Micro-SD card slot. It is compatible with Windows or Mac and Linux (with mass storage support) operating system, and features USB 2.0 High Speed interface for file transfer between the device and a PC. The Archos 2 vision also supports a 2-inch 220x176 pixels resolution screen and is powered by a battery that provides users up to 10 hours of music and 4 hours of video playback. The device supports AVI (conversion needed) video playback, MP3, WMA (non protected files only), WAV music playback and JPEG photo playback. It also supports an FM radio with a frequency range of 87.5-108MHz, a recorder that records voice from the microphone and FM radio, adjustable sound equalizer, multi-language Interface; and reads text files (.TXT) & lyrics files (.LRC). The Archos 2 vision measures 82mm x 44mm x 9mm (3.22 x 1.73 x 0.35-inch) and weighs 38 grams/1.34oz. It comes with a 1 year warranty, USB Cable (for charging and file transfer), earphones, video conversion software and a user guide.

Archos 2 is a personal media player which features a tactile slider that lets users browse through lists and control the sound volume just by touching the device. There is no longer a need to keep pressing the buttons endlessly to reach the end of a music library. Flicking the slider with a finger allows users to navigate through their files. The ARCHOS 2 features up to 16GB of disk capacity to store more than 8,000 songs, with expandability via a Micro-SD card slot so that users can add more music or files. The device allows users to organize music with the library options such as going by artist, album or title. The device also features lyrics display capabilities to help track songs available on the player, supports popular music formats (MP3, WMA and WAV), drag and drop function that allows users to transfer files from a PC to the ARCHOS 2 vision using the standard USB 2.0 connection, 2 inch color screen that can display images and photos, FM Radio with 30 preset stations which can be set manually or automatically, a built-in microphone to let user record anything they want, instantly such as a phone number that they can’t write down, a class lecture, or what is playing on the radio.
