The iPod Touch is a beautiful product, inside and out. Unfortunately, its lean capacity keeps it from reigning as king of the iPods. Read more

Why Lug a Laptop? E-Mail, Surf and Download From the Touch With its beautiful screen and Wi-Fi, the touch subtracts your computer from the song-management equation. Throw in Web browsing and this gizmo may even remove the computer from your bag. After all, why lug a laptop when you can email, surf, and download Kanye from your iPod touch? It's relatively weighty (4.05 ounces) but slim, and 32 gigs of storage give it grown-up media-player chops. We just wish the battery... Read more

  3. Apple iPod touch (Gen 2) Review

The iPod touch 's wonderful display and wide selection of third-party software makes it an outstanding mobile device for playing games, surfing the web, and keeping in touch with your friends via email. The second generation is a solid upgrade from the previous model. The increased battery life by more than 50% while playing music is phenomenal and new internal speaker fills a big gap in the previous design. While the App Store is not unique to just the newest iPod... Read more

The iPod touch is primarily a media player. Everything else is gravy. In our first look at the iPod touch last month (Nov/07, p68), we said that it’s basically a phoneless iPhone. It turns out that the iPod touch is even less than a phoneless iPhone. But if you want a media player first and an Internet device a distant second, the touch offers a satisfying experience. The 3rd generation iPod Touch 32GB is an excellent new version of the device that revolutionized the smartphone market. About the only downside is that you're still tied to a 2-year contract with AT&T in order to get the device at a reasonable price. If this is not a problem for you, then the iPod Touch 32GB is highly recommended - it's still the best smartphone and pocket computer available. Read more

I use this every day, and it fits right into my min pocket on the right of my pants which can't really be used for anything else. I recommend a case to keep it from scratching and breaking. However it is hard to find a quality hard case for an iTouch...the iPhone ones do not fit. Read more

Other than what I said above. Not much else to say. Not the perfect device, but still really good. The only difference between this and the iphone is: no phone, no texting, and no 3G support. Read more

Although faster, the iPod touch 3G is physically identical to the previous model. It is an excellent portable media player. If the new feature voice control does not justify the purchase of the new model, it can make a difference for some people. If you are looking for an MP3 player, a video player, a tool to connect you on Internet and a game console, i think that iPod touch is for you! Read more

A bit more expensive than I'd like to pay for a device of this nature, but it's IPod, what do you want. As someone has said in a previous review, if it gets wet, it won't work and apple won't repair it... because they didn't sell it to you wet. Decent device. Should have got a large version though as it's full almost all the time now. Read more

Unit was more scrached than expected. Did not realize 1st gen came without built in speaker (that sucks). Works fine operation wise and still use it as a second hand music and wi-fi browser. Price was reasonable but would have wanted to pay less because of it being a 1st gen and the scratches. Read more
