Summary: This is close to what I was expecting but it does have a few issues. Here are two major ones which may in fact be the same problem. The sound is inconsistent. It starts out loud and over time starts to fade. I'm not clear on why this happens. It could be that the ear buds are becoming looser and water gets in the ear. The second problem is that the ear buds are constantly falling out. Both these problems mean that I am constantly adjusting things.
Summary: Not very happy with the headphones doing my laps in the pool. The sound was off/on during my workout. I had to stop between laps to clear them and jam them back into my ears. The sound still remained muffled. I stopped during flipturns to see if that would help. Nope! I have been on the internet reviewing replacement options, but had not found a suitable alternative yet.
Summary: iPod shuffle is great, tiny and works really well, but the headset is simply awful - one of the ear buds stops playing almost every time, when I contacted the seller they recommended to play it loud and tap it on my palm to "unstick" it - while this works, its short term temporary solution and really does not solve my problem at all small update few months later.... kudos to the seller for really great customer service, they tried to help as much as they could.
Summary: I've used this product now a couple of times in the water while lap swimming. The waterproof iPod unit works great, no complaints there. However, the waterproof headphones are worthless. Now I will say I used the headphones without a swim cap because I don't normally wear a swim cap (hate them actually). Once I got in the water and had the player on with the headphones in my ears I noticed the audio quality was poor.
Summary: I love the waterproof I pod the problem is with the headphones and my ears I tried all three sizes yet just don't fit my ears an I have to constantly adjust them which is a pain when you're trying to actively swim...
happy when it works - sad when the battery dies after less than a dozen uses.

Summary: My experience is similar to other reviews. PROS: - It's waterproof. With good earbuds I can listen to music while doing laps. - The size of the ipod allows me to snap it onto my goggle strap. I don't even notice it while swimming. CON: - Battery died after a few uses. It's been one month since I received this unit and it's already dead. Constant red light (even after a day of charging) tells me that I need a replacement.
Summary: I like hearing music when I swim, but find it impossible to keep water from coming between the headphones and my external auditory canals. I must frequently stop and readjust the headphones. No amount of jiggling the headphones seems to prevent this. Otherwise, I am happy with the product.
Summary: I've only owned it for a little while and I'm having problems. The lock button keeps sticking, so I can't skip songs or change the volume. Very frustrating. I just contacted the seller to see about exchanging it for one that actually works.
Summary: The play button got stuck in the down position for several minutes at a time. Stiff to begin with, but actually stuck down after short use. As a result of the design of the ipod shuffle's functionality (holding the play button down locks the unit), I couldn't change songs or volume, or anything except turn it off. Also the unit for some reason played songs out of the order they are on the playlist, even when not in shuffle mode.
