Summary: This is the best thing in the world! I've been looking for a way to listen to things while swimming laps and this is finally it! Mine has worked flawlessly since I got it. The earphones took some getting used to, but once I got the hang of it, I have not have them come out again. If you get wet, you need this. I really have nothing bad to say about it. Been using for a month and no problems!
Summary: Two years ago my wife and I bought two of these wonderful little devices. Ok, being upfront, we are runners, not swimmers, but please don't hold that against us! We live in the sub-tropics where it rains. Lots of rain. Often. Getting drenched on a training long run is a regular thing, and we got very used to losing MP3 Players and earphones to water damage. Not any more. These babies are awesome. They have more than paid back the premium.
Summary: I thought I was getting a good deal by buying a refurbished iPod. However, the battery was defective and the iPod would not charge. The return policy is 15 days, which I didn't realize until it was already passed. The iPod came with a limited 90-day warranty (non-Walmart) from Recon Group. Recon Group did not recognize my purchase, so refused to help. I then went back to Walmart who offered to sell me an extended warranty.
Great product, works great except for the function button doesn't work.

Summary: I like to swim laps a lot, but found that it is much easier if you have some tunes to listen to while doing so. I have purchased a few other cheaper "waterproof" mp3 players that have not lasted long at all. One was so bad that it was hard to use and I had no control over what music was going to be played. It made for a horrible swim. I finally decided to spend a little more money and try this one. I have used it for a few months now and it works great.
Unfortunately negative experience and can not recommend to buy at the moment!

Summary: I used the iPod Shuffle by AudioFlood today the first time for swimming but I need to admit that I am disappointed. I tried all the different ear piece options but neither gave me a nice sound experience. The ear buds hardly transmitted the sound due to water blockage etc. Either listening to music during swimming just does not work or the ear buds that were included in the AudioFlood package are just not good.
Summary: I was worried as some of the reviews were negative, but it works great. I was in initially disappointed with the ear buds as they sounded really tinny, until I tried them in the water. Must be something about the acoustics in the water, but they sounded much better and totally acceptable for the intended use. They won't replace my high Shures, but for do9ng laps in the pool, great.
