Loses connectivity too easily

Summary: I don't know why, but for some reason my Ipod Nano 7th generation loses connectivity way too easily. And as a result, the sound goes through trials of pauses then restarting, resembling stutters, like how portable cd players without the anti-skip protection, used to. To say the least, it is really frustrating. I've tried to disconnect and reconnect, but that did not work either. The Ipod is brand new also, right out of the box. So, I have no idea what the issue is.
Summary: When I push the play music on the IPOD, it does nothing. It takes several pushes to get it to work. How do you delete songs from the IPOD? I recorded songs that I don't want to hear, but how do I remove them?
Summary: They should of left it the way it was, it is like going back to the old CD players. If you bump this it can jumped to the next song. With the old wheel you could move from song to song but this way is a little hard.
