Summary: junk, junk, junk, broken not work at all out of the box. ended up trading it for a refurbished one at i-store. this was not a good experience. Very disappointed with Amazon. DO NOT buy e-gear from Amazon - customer satisfaction is not a priority if even a consideration.
Do not buy this product from Amazon. It is out of warranty before you even get it.

Summary: I bought the first of these two devices a year or so ago. It recently died and will not turn on. Even though it is a discontinued model, since I liked it's form factor for exercising I bought another through Amazon. It also died recently. I just came back from the apple store where they said that they couldn't give me a new one because it was purchased in 2005. That is when Amazon purchased it, I bought it just three months ago.
Summary: I had this for about a year I think and one day the on/ off button stopped working. Thank goodness I had my other iPod ! Maybe that's why Apple discontinued this model... Over 100.00 down the drain!
Summary: I received this new. Within 6 months the on/off button stopped working. I could still access when I plugged it in but as soon as it went to sleep, I'd have to plug it back in. Next the volume down button stopped working. After almost losing my hearing, I was able to volume down in the settings tab. Last but not least, the volume up button stopped working and now there is no sound & no work around. I am so disappointed. I used it a few hours per day, everyday.
Major Problems with the Buttons! Many Devices are Failing! Please Do Not Buy Even if Refurbished at a Low Price!!!

Summary: There is a reason that this iPod is discontinued. The buttons fail making it useless. I had my first home button failure a few months after purchase. I had to jump through hoops to get it replaced even while under warranty. Now less than a year later the volume up button is bad. So now I'm stuck in low volume. I called Apple and was told it would cost $65 to fix with a 90 day warranty. So six months down the line when it fails again, I'll be SOL.
