Seemed like a god deal, but ...

Summary: I bought this for my husband after he lost his old 4th gen iPod. It was plainly advertised as refurbished and seemed like a good price compared with a new 4th gen one. It was in good condition, as advertised by the seller, and came with a charger and ear buds. It worked well ... BUT ... it turned out that he could not load any music from CDs onto it - it would only accept songs we had bought from iTunes.
Summary: I would give this a full 5 stars if they hadn't discontinued it. I purchased this for a my wife a few months back because it is a simple to use ipod. She’s not too savy when it comes to technology, but she has been able to work this little ipod without any problems. It’s nice and tiny too unlike the bigger ipods that can hardly fit in your pocket now a days. If you are looking for a simple ipod that’s still cool looking I would recommend purchasing one of these guys.
Summary: When battery died I ordered a new battery and tools that it said was all that was needed to replace. Only when I got to the battery I found out that it was micro soldered and would still have to be taken to a store and charged a $100 to replace. If only they had made the battery replaceable .
Summary: Faster song load times than larger ipods. I am wary of running short on space seeing as i tend to have full albums rather than lots of singles. Great product though. Feels good to use and is extremely light weight to the point i forget i have an mp3 player with me at all times.
Summary: This was not a used- very good product. There are annoying malfunctions as it would not go back to other previous songs, skipping forward to songs would not match the name on the screen most of the time, and there were times where if i left it locked or just leave it alone; it would stop the song playing until I unlocked it or moved the screen.
Excerpt: The first portable music player that I have owned is the Apple iPod Nano 4th Generation 8GB. I really saved up a lot so that I can have one because I need a music companion that I can bring with me everywhere I go.
