Summary: Spent the day using this new device... I have a Himedia 910, Mede8er X2 and TVIX S1 models as well. They're generally all similar and limited by baseline functionality the chip offers. Must say the Xtreamer is best of the bunch based on does 3D reliably but most importantly allows a web interface to play your media from your PC.
Summary: I bought this 7 months ago. Worked good. Upgrades are a pain and their support sucks. Most recent upgrade bricked the Xtreamer Silver. Xtreamer told me Reseller is responsible for warranty work and Miss9090 (the seller) won't return my email. So, I am stuck with a bricked piece of hardware that won't work. If you feel you must get this, buy it direct from Xtreamer. That is the only way that the warranty is covered. Unless, you have a local shop that may carry it.
Summary: My better half bought this for me as a gift to upgrade from my Popcorn Hour A110 since this box supports 3D. I wanted to test it out before I put an internal drive in so I plugged one external USB drive into it and powered it up. It fired up and found the external drive. I turned it off to read more about how to get poster art to appear vs file names for the movie rips. After that the machine failed to power up.
Summary: I bought this product about 2 day ago and I returned. It worked too bad! I tested about 30 3D blu ray .iso. It played but It wasn't full screen on my Tv(I am using a 47LG6500). I also tested Blu ray movie .mkv, the problem was the same! bad picture and It didn't support codec DTS-HD (I tested on my Denon 391 AVR). So, I'm never use Xtreamer product anymore!
Summary: I purchased the Xtreamer Prodigy Black plus a mini keyboard 2 the small curved one. I cannot get the Prodigy to recognise the keyboard characters it only operates as a mouse and touch pad. There is no documetation anywhere and although HDCity sent a replacement the second unit is exactly the same. Does anybody know how to get these keyboards working on the Prodigy. The keyboard works fine on my Windows 7 PC.
Summary: I don't normally write a Non-technical review of such a product, and those that know my reviews know I often highlight the significant technical advantages or shortcomings. In this case I never was able to get the product off the ground, and that is as good as DOA. I have been working with Media players for years, building my own PVR's, and I am used to dealing with bugs and issues.
Summary: I am not sure what the other reviewers are doing wrong with this product, but I purchased this media player last week and I have been able to play all of my 3D Blu Ray iso files without a problem. It also plays any video file and your 3D TV/Projector will automatically convert side by side, up/ down files into 3D. The Android app integration is great and browsing the internet and using Youtube is flawless.
Summary: Let me start by saying that I consider myself a power user. Bought this media player because I have a lot of movies and music at home. And by comparing with WD TV Live, Prodigy seems can play more format, doing BT, housing my internal hard disk, So I bought it. First disappointment, the device sent to me was faulty, no signal via HDMI port. So I returned it, thanks to Amazon's return policy. And bought another one. The second one seems working OK.
