Summary: While i love the WD visual interface vs. the Asus O! and other first generation media players, my big issue here is that the remote is way too small and unintuitive, has no volume control, and you have to do a little button dance (if you can figure it out...) how to jump ahead and there's no way to make that better. I bought an aftermarket remote (a larger version of this one) and though more ergonomic (and less easy to lose...
Summary: I bought this guy over a year ago, and no problems thus far! Updates ARE available from Western Digital, so go take a look at their site Also, I don't know if this applies to everyone or I just had a random one, but the one I got is the European model. At first I was like, "Great, now I can play PAL movies on my 50hz tv... NOT!
Summary: I already had one of these and really liked it but the reason I purchased it was to get wi-fi with it but it doesn't work so I just have the same thing I already had. The product is good and eliminates having a bunch of CD's laying around. I use it with a 500gb passport.
Summary: This is a very handy device to watch your photo's, video's,or movie's that you downloaded on your external hard drive. You're even have the option to review the movie before you actually watch it! Your external hard drive connects directly to the Media Player then from your Media Player via HDMI cable to your HDMI connector behind the HDTV. Simple, Easy and fantastic with the REMOTE CONTROL!! Don't forget to buy your hard drive!!

Summary: I bought this product but returned it for full refund. The RMA process was simple. I couldn't use it with thousand of media files that I had on an external USB drive. I needed very fast search functionality to find all the media files that match some title sub-strings. I ended up using my PC and Windows search. For less than 10 media files, I think this products probably will do it.
Summary: This product does not work half the time and I have to reset and disconnect all cables 3 or 4 times before it works again. It usually works good when you get it to work, but starts acting up if you pause the movie or stop it.
Summary: This "recertified" product is a real loser. I thought I would save some $$$ by ordering this unit rather than its NEW brother for about $30-40 move. BAD MOVE. I bought two NEW versions of this product which have worked like troopers. But this one crapped out after only 2 months. Only one USB input works now. The other USB port is dead and the unit reads "No Storage Available". Of course, the warranty has expired a month ago so I didn't save $40, I wasted $70.
