Summary: I don't know what I would do w/o this device! I have all my movies on external hard drive. I just plug it in and play, real simple, transportable, and small. Great product plays all my different movie formats. And Netflix steams well. Cons- I wish it had an internal wifi system, instead of buying an adapter, and I wish it can support flash when on the Internet. But it's great nonetheless!
Summary: Overall grt product. Just two concerns. First, the remote is not enough for web browsing. The should have a usb keyboard support for typing. It takes a little while to practice typing from remote. After using smart phones, this remote is like back to 12 button cellphone texting! But I can live with that. The second concern is the you-tube. It doesn't work thru browser, it only works thru its own you-tube option. But like I said, overall, its been 1 month and no complain.
Viewsonic VMP75 - A Media Player that plays all formates; MKV, others
Mr. Richard Z. Kleczek, Amazon

Summary: Viewsonic VMP75 is a Media Player that can play virtually any video format introduced. I download documentaries, and some movies, in MKV format. My PS3 is restricted from playing MKV or other types of formats, so Viewsonic VMP75 fills in the gap. The software menu and setup far surpasses the ability/features of those provided by the PlayStation (PS3) Media Player. Where the PS3 might have a pleasant interfacing menu, Viewsonic betters it by functionality.
Summary: the device is good for its money, is not as slow as people describe it to be, if you know what you are doing it works great, i have had no issues with it, support numbers helps with any questions real fast. Best media player I have own so far or work with. My only bad review for this player is only one usb port, and only one HDMI port, it works great over all.
Summary: 90% of the other reviewers problems can be solved by simply updating the firmware in the settings. It plays every file i have thrown at it with only one minor playback issue. Works very well with files created with Handbrake. I have not had any issues with netflix. Works fine. Does everything I needed it to do. Couldn't ask for more at the price.
Summary: I love this item for the price I paid for it...did not hang even once yet as compared to the much hyped "Western Digital WD TV Live Plus HD Media Player", does what it claims to do. I saved the extra $600-700 for a internet ready TV by spending just $94. Pros...to many ...you also get a browser Cons: Just two: -1.The Browser doesn't have a inbuilt embeded flash/Divx player, which is desirable when viewing online nevs video and news -2.Doesn't have more video sources like...
Summary: Well after buying the WD TV Live plus , installing the latest firmware, it still wouldn't work right. Play movie for 5 minutes and freeze. Then wouldn't play anything. Took it back and picked up the Viewsonic VMP75. This thing is awsome, worked right out of the box. Has played everything I've tried.Netflix streaming also works flawlessly.
Summary: I selected this as a Vine product mainly for its Netflix integration. It came with an HDMI cable, which was a welcome touch. The setup was very simple, although configuring your wireless ssid and passkey is a little painful with the included remote simply because you type letters and numbers by selecting them onscreen one at a time. Most boxes are like this, by the way, so nothing new here.
