Summary: This is the first time I have ever returned an item to Amazon. to me the #1 reason I bought was the networking. It connected to the network files fine, but I wasn't really looking for a list of 10,000 songs. I am used to a Windows Media Center device... and quite frankly with this not having Pandora there is no reason to buy this over a Roku. If you need networking get a HTPC (like the little Acers).
If you can wait for the Windows 7 fix, it'll be great

Summary: The potential for this product is excellent. Everything from the GUI to the preview playback of files is superb. The problem is, it doesn't work all that well with Windows Vista or 7. If you are running Windows XP you should be fine. I've also heard of some issues with XP but for the most part it works with it. The fact that this product doesn't even work right with Windows Vista/7 amazes me. I've only read of ONE person that has had success with this on Windows 7 Home.
Summary: I bought the Viewsonic NexTV VMP75 primarily for its NetFlix streaming capability over WiFi. I have a wireless G home network and 10 mbps FiOS bandwidth. This combination works great with my laptop connected (via HDMI) to my HDTV, and with my step-son's XBox 360 connected (via component interface) to his HDTV. We can each watch NetFlix movies that appear to be good quality with very infrequent hiccups.
