The unit lets users access the web for playback content, RSS news sites and social networks like Facebook, Flickr, Twitter, and YouTube. It also provides users for Video-on-demand (VOD) that can be streamed from various sites such as Netflix (VMP75) or BBCiPlayer (VMP74). The ViewSonic VMP75 features built-in Ethernet or e-SATA for external storage.
The ViewSonic VMP75 is a 1080p Full HD media player that supports video and music playback and allows them to view photo. The media player also provides them with access for video on demand via Netflix services and supports connectivity via an Ethernet LAN and/or 802.11b/g/n Wi Fi adapter (optional). The VMP75 is compatible with JPEG, BMP, PNG, GIF and TIFF photo format, and stream contents from internets including Google, Flicker, ShoutCast Radio, Live365 and RSS feeds. It supports a wide range of subtitle formats such as SRT, SUB, SMI, SSA, IDX-SUB, IDX, AAS and TXT and features DLNA and UPnP. Other connectivity options include HDMI, AV output, USB, USB+eSATA and SPDIF.
