Summary: I've had my streamer for a few weeks now and I am very happy with it. I have had no issues with it losing its Internet connection like other people have commented (perhaps their wifi routers are not fast enough?). It offers smooth playback, never stutters. I wish it had Vudu on it but that's an issue between Vudu and Sony, not the device's fault.
Summary: This sony player is just what I needed to complete my new LED TV system. Very easy to setup. Don't forget to first install the updates before anything else. All apps work great! Even the DLNA works gr8. I have a macbook with TVMobili installed as the server and there's no issue with playing the movies/music/pics etc. I see several reviewers comment about problems in this area. Maybe it's specific to windows. All in all I'm lovin' it.
Summary: I did all sorts of research which landed me on this box and I am very satisfied and often impressed with its operation. Good- Plays everything through the front Media Port via USB. Expected streaming - Netflix, Hulu, Youtube all there and works. DNLA compliant. Plays windows 7 media center content quickly and with little drama. Has Standard AND HD output. Wifi and Wired network. Small and quiet. No fan or noise. Bad- Remote could glow in the dark.
Summary: This is a great device if you are computer knowledgeable. The Dlna works great with windows 7 after you tinker with your home group making sure you allow access to files and transfer to windows media folder. Netflix and Hulu work well too. I have it set up in my 11 year old's room and she loves it. For the money I paid it is exceeding my expectations. I do not understand why there is so many negative reviews. I plan to buy at least one more if not two for our home.
Summary: This was my first purchase of a streaming player and decided to get a Sony due to the features, reviews and the Sony tablet I own. --WIFI was simple and easy to set up --I was streaming Slacker, Youtube, Pandora in no time at all. --If you have Nextflix, Amazon or one of the other channels that require signing in then have your laptop near by as you need to register the device --The picture on my TV (42 inch Toshiba) looked better streaming then the signal I get via...
Summary: Before buying SONY SMP-N100 player, I bought Roku XDS mainly because it had a higher rating than this one. I finally returned it and settled down with this one. So this review is more like a comparison between Roku XDS and SMP-N100. Setup: The physical setup are easy but they both require creating an online account on their web sites by a separate computer. Roku also asked for a Credit Card during creating the online account.

Summary: I had some reservations about spending nearly a hundred bucks to get a box for my wife's tv. Then I thought about it. We used to spend $180 per month for cable tv, phone, and Internet; then we got rid of cable and switched providers for phone and Internet and got our monthly bill down to $50 or $60.
Summary: Works great for streaming videos via Netflix, quality is terrific. Setup was a breeze, very intuitive. Youtube works great as well, it is a bit tedious doing searches with the remote though. I tried it via wifi and hardwire, works well with both but chose hardwire. It seemed a bit faster and I had a cable right there. Very happy with this product.
Summary: This purchase was my first foray into the world of Netflix and other net to TV deliverable product and I am happy to say that this product has not disappointed! The product itself is small, very easy to find a spot for among my other a/v electronics. Hook-up was super easy, HDMI cable (not included) to the TV, a/c adapter to the wall, and finally ethernet cable (also not included) to my router.
