Summary: Bought it in June 2012 and it just died in early July 2015. It was easy to configure and had good integration with my Dish Network - allowing me to search available television and streaming content from a visual interface that was very cool compared to the standard guide/channel list.
Summary: I really wanted to like and keep this unit. the idea of having an Internet browser on my TV was really appealing to me - unfortunately I ended up returning the unit. The type on the screen was just too small to see from where I sat.
Summary: Ok I refuse to bash GTV but it leaves much to be desired, no flash support for websites and adobe updates will not be supported. you cant download the xfinity go app or various other tv apps and i am yet to figure out how to stream video from my tablet to my tv through this thing.
Summary: Unit crashes and hangs a lot. HDMI interface sleeps and cable box delays the wake mode. Overall good and apps store very useful. DNLA servers have nice graphics and maneuverability. By far the best streaming user interface remote currently. Also includes voice to text search. Would by again.
Summary: I bought this device to do 2 things. 1. Play digital HD movie files off of a external hard drvie and 2. watch youtube videos on my TV. It does connect to the internet and perform well for most everything. After first setting up the device it goes through all the updates of the apps and system.
Summary: I bought this because I wanted to be able to have easy access to an Internet Browser like Google Chrome for my HDTV. I already have the ATV which I love and wouldn't have bought this if it came with a web browser if one like Safari.
Good hardware, badly integrated software, excellent remote control.

Summary: This is the kind of product that you love and hate at the same time. The hardware is just OK, but the software seems to have been put together in a hurry. The interface is much less intuitive than Apple TV's (pairing a bluetooth earphone is done through a "network" configuration!).
Summary: Rather dissapointed in how this works in an overseas environment with Slingbox. I have blazing fast internet here and fast internet back in the U.S. but the Sony Player has poor quality video with SlingPlayer.
