Great sound quality, but problems in skipping the ends of songs
30 August 2013
Summary: Great sound quality, and compatibility with iTunes for managing library and playlists. However, it frequently skips to the next song, in the middle of the last one! I have tried troubleshooting, and rebooting, and nothing seems to work.
Summary: I bought this unit hoping that it would be good enough for a small dining room. I was really disappointed to the point where I took it back and have now bought two Play:3's instead. This gives a much better stereo sound and is as loud as you could want it.
Whilst the convenience was nice, the sound quality was utterly lacking

Summary: Whilst the convenience was nice, the sound quality was utterly lacking, serious issue with bass being either too bloomy, port chuffing or too emphasized at low volumes depending on the music played, EQ options very limited and inflexible. Very sensitive to placement.
Summary: its never going to sound as good as seperates at the same price but for ease of use and being able to stream music in the kitchen its a worthy addition. Its also connected to the Sonus Bridge which in turn is connected to an Arcam Amp, works a treat.
Pros: music streaming throughout the house , easy to set up and use , lack of wires , good build quality
Cons: average sound quality , average looks , not cheap for the whole system
Summary: I like the Sonos system, and how easy it is to control the same system from different devices and to send sound to different rooms. I purchased a Connect:Amp to which I attached two Kef R100 speakers in one room, and a Play 5 in another room.
Summary: I purchased a Sonos Play 1 and Play 5 based on Sonos claims of Spotify integration as well as build quality. Sonos products are nice and well built with great sound quality for sure but they do not integrate well with Spotify at all.
Summary: As the main review tended to concentrate on the radio options (napster, spotify, et al) I want to point out some issues that might influence the purchase of a great piece of kit. Firstly, and this is something that does not receive much (any) mention is that if you are adding your own ripped CDs to...
Pros: For online raio works out of the box
Cons: Issues regarding adding own music to library
Summary: Can't fault the Sonos system as a whole but the player lacks warmth compared to a Philips Fidelio that I own. I do like however when you push it to its limits, it doesn't distort. It simply turns down the bass as the amplifier maxes out.
