Summary: I have this unit in the main living room and can actually here it throughout most of the house. Love the idea of it but have only been able to get it to work with Spotify once. Its been one error after another and Ive also had issues with music from my iPhone. The sales rep told me the Sonos software was great and so was support.
Summary: This is a fairly good product - painless setup, good sound, and we can listen to different things in different rooms or fill the whole house with a single sound. HOWEVER, the software doesn't support multiple accounts for a single service. Example: in our household we have two Spotify accounts, but can only use one with Sonos.
Summary: Works great except I can't play a second Itunes library. I can see the songs and playlists, but it won't play them. I get an error. We use it for XM radio. Not as functional as we thought. If you can help! Please do.
Summary: The speakers (I have a play: 5 and a play: 3) are great. The sound quality is amazing. However, the player software is clunky -- especially when trying to use third-party streaming like Pandora or Spotify. No song info available and slow and counter-intuitive menu navigation are some of my main concerns.
Summary: I have 5 of the Play 5 speakers and while the sound is great, they constantly need to be reset, which is aggravating. I had two paired for stereo and they always become unpaired so I have left them unpaired because I was tired of having to re-pair the two. Also, it stops playing frequently for no apparent reason. I like the sound of them but not happy the other nuances.
Pros: Great Sound
Cons: Doesn't Play All Mp3s, Must Reset Frequently, Stops Playing - No Reason
Great sound quality, but problems in skipping the ends of songs
30 August 2013
Summary: Great sound quality, and compatibility with iTunes for managing library and playlists. However, it frequently skips to the next song, in the middle of the last one! I have tried troubleshooting, and rebooting, and nothing seems to work.
Summary: This would be a great product if Sonos would add support for Windows phone and Windows RT. Seriously contemplating selling these since the only way I can control the units is by using my computer. That is a serious drawback. I do not have android or apple devices and have no desire to have them. My windows environment works great for me and it is a shame Sonos treats Windows users this poorly.
Summary: The Play5 was easy to set up and as a wireless speaker it operates flawlessly. It's a great concept and a very well engineered product from the network connectivity and wireless point of view. But given its very high price, the muddy sound quality is disappointing. It feels like its been engineered by IT experts, not audio experts. (I listen mainly to Classical and Jazz.
