Summary: I had the old slingbox and it's still working okay. I wanted to upgrade to newer one and chose the SOLO in May 2012. Easy to setup and configure, it was working great. Then I started noticing that it would drop off and I would have to re-connect.
Works great from South America, picture is not the greatest in full screen

Summary: I purchased this to be able to watch NFL and college football in Argentina. It is attached to a Dish Network DVR in my parent's house in Colorado, and due to the layout of their house, I also purchased the Slinglink Turbo 1PORT Enet Connection Bridge (SL 150-100).
Summary: I'd love to see a stereo component sized (19") unit someday, as the shape is a bit odd for a home theater setup. Either that or some mounting brackets to hide the unit out of sight.
Pros: Setup is easy. Upgrade the software to the current version. Works on MAC OSX as well as PC's (just not at the same time). The channel guide and look-alike remote control is very nifty, better than the actual cable service I use. Pause and recording works very well. Now if it could just remove com...
Summary: I like the product, but installation was a challenge and customer service by telephone was poor. The small brochure that comes with the slingbox is cursory and provides little explanation of how to use the product. Terms aren't defined for those not tech savvy.
Summary: After you configure it via the Slingplayer for your OS, go to the website to setup an account an associate your Slingbox with your account. That puts you on the path to getting it on your iPhone. Your iPhone can reference the Slingbox via the website OR via the Slingbox's unique ID.
Pros: I can watch my TiVo from my iPhone which is great. Works well with various WiFi's (like at restaurants) or via 3G I can watch my TiVo from my Mac which is also great (I'm using the Slingplayer for the Mac).
Cons: Setup wasn't obvious. I got it but it was quickly approaching my 30min-send it back-this is stupid-point. Download the Slingplayer for your OS to configure. That part wasn't obvious. I tried configuring via the website and got nowhere (I'm on a Mac). Apparently there is a bad-capacitor issue. Goo...
Summary: Get the PRO-HD if you want to stream HD which I will be doing.
Pros: Good picture around 450kbps streaming. I'm stationed in Japan watching live TV in North Carolina. I talked my mom through setting it up over the phone; she's not tech savi to say the least, and got everything up and working in about 20 minutes. Great product!
Cons: Does NOT stream HD. Newegg's description doesn't say that but still lists HD minimum streaming requirements, so minus one egg.
Summary: I have to say I have not used this product very much yet, but so far it does perform fairly well and as advertised. HOOKING UP: I will tell all of you that I was a little fearfull of hooking it up AFTER I purchased it and started reading reviews on all the trouble people seemed to have had.
Summary: I am sorry I did not buy this device sooner! I gave it 4 stars just beacause of the experience with slingbox tech support and their inability to get me up and running.
Pros: TV on the go! Great packaging, equipment was surprisingly small and great from factor. The quality is great, although YMMV depending on your bandwidth. The picture is crisp and clear and I could not be happier. I can't wait to see what happens when I try this from Brazil next month!
Cons: The setup was somewhat a pain. The cablebox that I use SA Explorer 4200HD was not supported? WTH? This is a 3 year old device used extensively through out the US! I had to call tech support and they could not get it to function. So I had to dig in do some research (which I will admit was fun) and...
