Summary: I have been using this media player for the past several months. It integrates well with my television and internet capabilities such that it is easy to understand and utilize. There have been no problems with the unit and I am totally pleased with it's performance.
Summary: I was looking for a player that played all the codecs. This is it! I haven't gotten a movie in any format that this player won't play. I have tried several other players and their usb playback lacks in codec firmware. The only drawback is that you need a wifi adapter.
Summary: Overall, this device will handle most of the tasks you demanded of media players. Sound and Video qualities are exceptional. Play up to 1080P and DTS and Dolby audios. I love it so much that I own three units all bought with good discounted prices though.
Pros: Can connect to the home PC network to play all media files. Can connect to up to 3 external drives directly 2 USB drives and 1 Seagate freeagent go drive. Can play Netflix, Youtube etc.
Cons: Remote operation is somewhat sluggish. Still a few bugs can get around easily in the firmware. Cannot the drives connected to the units, without reconnecting to a PC directly.
Summary: The Seagate HD FreeAgent Theater 1080p+ is an incredible product for those who love to watch movies. It handles every format I throw at it (mkv,ISO,avi, mpg, etc) and the setup and ease of use make it a winner in every respect. No more converting or burning of videos.
Summary: I wanted a simple media player that would play any format that I could throw at it, especially MKV files, on my HDTV. It handled most the files I threw at it, including a few 1080p MKVs flawlessly.
