Works pretty well

Summary: This player worked well except for the clunky interface. It took too long to get to where you were going. I really liked the fact that you could integrate a hard drive into it and used that function often. I ended up replacing it with a Roku and connecting to my home pc with it. We use Amazon for most of our purchases and I update my reviews if anything changes with the products. I do this so other Amazon users can get a real feel for the life of the product.
Summary: I have been using this media player for the past several months. It integrates well with my television and internet capabilities such that it is easy to understand and utilize. There have been no problems with the unit and I am totally pleased with it's performance.
Summary: Great for netflix on line. Wife loves it and remote even controls volume on our stereo. For movie downloads,.. have yet to find a quality source and Hulu does not work as you cannot download from them. Would be nice if they worked out an agreement with Hulu. Other stuff on there is really nice. News when you want it, weather, sports, radio up the woo-hoo, Youtube also but limited search ability.
Summary: Cons: ' No scheduling option ' No saving of search terms ' Weak remote power; remote has to pointed directly at the device or keep changing the batteries ' No controls on the device itself; have to use the remote. ' Limited fixed number of media sites to choose from. ' At times slow in response to menu selections. Pro: ' Intuitive menu options ' Excellent number of codec to choose from; less transcoding. ' Works right out of the box. ' Setup to wired network in minutes.
Summary: So, here are some things that I would have liked to know BEFORE buying this player. Some people may not have this problem, but in order to activate Netflix on the theater+ I had to connect to my router view ethernet cable. Once the theater+ is hardwired to the home network, then it can "recognize" the local network and access the home network and internet via the wireless usb adapter (I purchased an airlink wireless n product for [...] shipped, works excellently).
