Not for watching movies
30 January 2015
Summary: Terrible doesn't come close to describing this piece of junk. Video has constant drop outs. Updated firmware, no change. What good is it if you can't watch videos/movie with it? Totally Unacceptable. On the same network cable, my WD TV Live has no video drop outs and plays perfect video.
No support. Freeze constantly. Horrible for Netflix

Summary: Pros: Plays most file formats. Cons: No support, all they ever tell you is to update firmware no matter what's the problem No firmware updates in over a year Freezes constantly Audio cuts out Terrible quality nexflix, even with 20Mbps download speed I can't get an HD picture.
Summary: Problems with this Device: 1. Very bad remote control design - too slow to respond 2. Choppy/ slow video, hangs up very fast - i assume its the bad / old/ slow graphics card in the unit 3. Sluggish user interface 4.
Summary: I waited for this, I wanted this, it was supposed to be the latest and greatest from Seagate. My opinion is that DVD's and physical media will slowly fade out, and a non-media based network player seemed like a good idea.
Summary: Purchased the Seagate GoFlex TV and connected it to my HDTV via an HDMI cable. The product litature indicated the player supported playback of videos over a network connection from network attached storaged, but that did not work. I could not get the player to see my movies.
