  • Summary: Bought one less than a year ago was good for about 3 months and then all the issues. Purple screens, wont connect, watching movies and stops and then wont play again. Call support, they blamed HDMI cable, the internet provider, the TV is the issue.

  • Summary: I acquired this product from Radio Shack after reading CNET reviews. Intended use as supplement to Comcast. Unit would not connect to my local WiFi that works without problems with phones, tablets, Apple TV, ChromeCast and internet enabled TV.
  • Pros: Not applicable
  • Cons: Poor product quality control. Sloppy testing of upgrades. Useless customer service

  • Summary: This product was highly recommended to me, but, as I was making the last of the on-line set-up steps Roku required me to open an account with my credit card even before I may or may not make a future purchase. That was a turn off for me.

Don't waste your money, send it back for a refund.

  • Summary: I just got the Canadian version of the Roku 3, and it sucks the big one. It was a waste of money and a waste of time. The Canadian version has at most half the programming than the US version (the American Programming is basically blocked).
  • Pros: It's small and takes up very little power. That's it.
  • Cons: Netflix is a pain. A lot of crappy content. The streaming content is very grainy (not at all HD quality). I'll wait for the Apple to see if it's any better and provides better content here in Canada, and hopefully a much better picture.

  • Summary: I bought this device specifically to stream VUDU and HBOGO, as I currently use a BluRay player and a Laptop to do both and figured this would make my life easier. I'm one day in and still do not have either channel offered in the Channel Menu. Its as if they don't exist.

Unless you're American & computer illiterate, stay away

  • Summary: Once again, a company has favored greed by geo-locking content and channels, I was looking for a boxee box replacement since the boxee is discontinued and riddled with bugs. Based on all the reviews I was really convinced that Roku3 was the best, instead I regret wasting my time and money dealing...
  • Pros: 1. really fast streaming, 2. headphone jack on remote is very convenient, great if someone wants to sleep while you're watching tv., 3. Remote has technology similar to wii remote. (not sure why they are trying to be a gaming console though)
  • Cons: 1. Don't even consider this for local media of any kind, 2. extremely limited content for non-americans, 3. horrendously limited options, can't even choose dns to ensure child safety, 4. Poor instructions (had to google how to get the usb player)

  • Summary: I'm very disappointed. I was expecting this Roku 3 to be better than the Apple TV because Roku offers Vevo (music channel) and a controller with headphones. I soon realized that I've been spoiled by Apple. I'm not used to seeing the "please wait downloading" message in my television.
